MotoGP Adelaide 2027: Red Bull Named Title Sponsor of Australian Grand Prix

Adelaide, Australia, October 12, 2026: MotoGP has announced a multi-year partnership with Red Bull, which will become the title sponsor of the Australian Grand Prix as the championship moves to a new city-centre circuit in Adelaide from 2027. The inaugural Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia in Adelaide will take place from November 12 to 14, 2027, with the partnership continuing into 2028.

The agreement marks a significant development for MotoGP in Australia, as the championship prepares to begin a new chapter at one of the country’s most prominent event destinations. The Adelaide race will combine top-level motorcycle racing with a unique urban setting, offering fans a new experience on the MotoGP calendar.

Red Bull’s involvement is expected to support the event’s growth through fan engagement initiatives, city-wide activations and entertainment throughout race week. The partnership also builds on the energy drink brand’s longstanding involvement in motorsport and its commitment to supporting emerging talent.

MotoGP Adelaide 2027: A New Era for the Australian Grand Prix

The move to Adelaide will bring a new setting for the Australian Grand Prix, with MotoGP set to race on a specially adapted city circuit inspired by the layout previously used for Formula 1.

The recently unveiled 4.13km circuit features 15 corners and incorporates several recognisable sections, including Stag Corner, Rundle Road, Brewery Bend and Dequetteville Terrace.

The layout is designed to bring motorcycle racing into the heart of Adelaide, combining the challenge of a street circuit with the atmosphere of a major city event.

Scheduled as the penultimate round of the 2027 MotoGP season, the Australian Grand Prix is also expected to play an important role in the championship battle, with riders and teams potentially fighting for crucial points as the season approaches its conclusion.

With the city-centre location and Red Bull’s involvement, MotoGP and the South Australian government aim to establish Adelaide as a major international motorsport destination.

Carlos Ezpeleta Welcomes Red Bull Partnership

Carlos Ezpeleta, Deputy CEO of MotoGP, said Australia remained one of the championship’s most important markets and welcomed Red Bull’s involvement as the sport prepares for its Adelaide debut.

“Australia is one of MotoGP’s most passionate and important markets, and we’re delighted to welcome Red Bull as title sponsor as we begin an exciting new chapter in Adelaide in 2027,” Ezpeleta said.

He described the inaugural race as a landmark moment for the championship, highlighting the opportunity to bring MotoGP closer to fans through the new city circuit.

“The inaugural Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia in Adelaide will be a landmark moment for MotoGP. The new city circuit provides an incredible opportunity to bring the sport into the heart of the city and create a spectacular experience for fans, teams and riders alike,” he added.

Ezpeleta also highlighted the alignment between MotoGP and Red Bull, citing the brand’s motorsport experience and its ambition to create memorable experiences for fans.

“Red Bull has an unrivalled track record in motorsport and shares our ambition to deliver world-class events and unforgettable fan experiences. They are the perfect partner as we build the future of the Australian Grand Prix together.”

South Australian Premier Hails Red Bull’s Involvement

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas described Red Bull’s decision to become title sponsor as a major endorsement of Adelaide’s new MotoGP event.

“Red Bull is one of the most recognisable brands in the world, and having them on board as the title sponsor of Adelaide’s first MotoGP Grand Prix is a huge endorsement for this event and a massive coup for South Australia,” Malinauskas said.

He said the partnership would help raise Adelaide’s international profile and support the ambition of making the city a regular destination for global motorsport fans.

“This is exactly the kind of global partnership we want to attract. One that brings enormous international exposure, creates excitement and helps establish Adelaide as a must-visit destination on the MotoGP calendar.”

Malinauskas added that the collaboration between MotoGP and Red Bull would help build anticipation for the inaugural race.

“We’re building something special here, and with Red Bull and MotoGP teaming up, we’re gearing up for an incredible first race in 2027.”

Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia to Become a Key MotoGP Event

The Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia will be an important addition to MotoGP’s calendar as the championship expands its presence in major urban destinations.

The multi-year title sponsorship provides a platform for MotoGP and Red Bull to develop new fan experiences and entertainment initiatives around the event. Adelaide’s city-centre location is expected to distinguish the race from traditional permanent-circuit rounds.

With the inaugural event scheduled for November 12-14, 2027, preparations will now focus on delivering the new circuit and establishing the race as a major fixture on the international motorsport calendar.

The Adelaide Grand Prix will also arrive at a crucial point in the season, serving as the penultimate round of the 2027 MotoGP championship and potentially setting the stage for a dramatic title showdown at the final round.
