Tata Motors Launches Next Gen Tiago and Tiago.ev in India Starting at ₹4.69 Lakh

New Delhi, India, May 28, 2026: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited has launched the Next Gen Tiago and Tiago.ev in India, introducing a significantly upgraded hatchback range with enhanced styling, advanced connected technology, improved safety features and multiple powertrain options aimed at redefining the compact car segment.

Priced from ₹4.69 lakh for the petrol-powered Tiago and ₹6.99 lakh for the Tiago.ev under full ownership, the new-generation hatchbacks are built on a decade-long legacy backed by more than 700,000 customers in India.

The Tiago.ev is also available under Tata Motors’ Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model at a starting price of ₹4.69 lakh plus a battery rental cost of ₹2.6 per kilometre, making electric mobility more accessible for urban buyers.

Launching the new models, Shailesh Chandra said the hatchback segment has long remained underserved despite being the entry point to personal mobility for millions of Indian families.

“The Next Gen Tiago is not an evolution but a full reinvention with substantially updated exteriors, a significantly more premium interior experience, advanced connected technology and strengthened safety,” Chandra said.

He added that the Tiago.ev fundamentally changes the economics of EV ownership with lower running costs, fast charging capability and an industry-first lifetime high-voltage battery warranty.

The Next Gen Tiago range introduces a host of segment-first and premium features including:

• 26.03 cm HD touchscreen infotainment system

The Tiago.ev also supports enhanced fast charging, enabling up to 100 km of range in just 18 minutes.

• iCNG MT

Tata Motors said the Tiago remains India’s first CNG AMT hatchback with twin-cylinder iCNG technology.
