Hinwil, Switzerland, April 24, 2026: In a significant leadership move, Audi Revolut F1 Team has announced the appointment of Allan McNish as its new Racing Director, reinforcing the team’s commitment to strengthening its Formula One operations during its debut season.
McNish, a long-standing pillar within Audi’s motorsport ecosystem, will oversee all trackside activities, including sporting operations, engineering coordination, race strategy, driver management, and garage execution. He will officially assume trackside responsibilities starting from the Miami Grand Prix.

A highly respected name in global racing, McNish brings decades of experience across multiple disciplines. A former Formula One driver, he is best known for his achievements in endurance racing, particularly at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he secured multiple victories, along with a title in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Within Audi, McNish has held several high-profile roles, including Director of Coordination for Audi Group Motorsport and Team Principal of Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler in Formula E. Most recently, he has been leading the team’s Driver Development Programme—a responsibility he will continue alongside his new position.
In his new role, McNish will report directly to Mattia Binotto, who now serves as CEO and Team Principal of the Audi Revolut F1 Team.
