Maruti Suzuki Records Highest-Ever Annual Production at 23.4 Lakh Units in FY26

New Delhi, April 23, 2026: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has achieved its highest-ever annual production volume of 23.4 lakh units in FY 2025–26, marking a historic milestone for the country’s automotive sector. With this feat, Maruti Suzuki becomes the only OEM in India to reach such a production scale in a single financial year, further cementing its dominance in the passenger vehicle segment.

The company also stands out globally, emerging as the only manufacturing facility under Suzuki Motor Corporation to achieve this record-breaking output.

Top-Selling Models Drive Growth

Maruti Suzuki’s strong production performance was powered by consistent demand for its popular models. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and Maruti Suzuki Baleno each crossed the 2 lakh unit production mark, underlining their popularity among Indian consumers.

Leadership Speaks on Milestone

Commenting on the achievement, Managing Director & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said the milestone reflects the strength of Maruti Suzuki’s long-standing ecosystem and customer trust.

He highlighted that only a few automotive companies worldwide have managed such high production volumes within a single country. The success, he noted, is built on decades of collaboration with employees, vendor partners, and dealers, supported by favorable government policies and evolving market demand.

Expansion Plans: Targeting 40 Lakh Units Annually

Looking ahead, Maruti Suzuki plans to significantly scale up its manufacturing capacity. Backed by continued investments from Suzuki Motor Corporation and India’s growing role as an export hub, the company aims to reach 40 lakh units of annual production capacity in the coming years.

Manufacturing Footprint in India

Maruti Suzuki currently operates four major manufacturing facilities:

  • Gurugram
  • Manesar
  • Kharkhoda
  • Hansalpur

These plants collectively offer an installed production capacity of 24 lakh units annually.

As part of its aggressive expansion strategy, the company has also identified land for its fifth manufacturing facility at Khoraj Industrial Estate. Once fully operational, the new plant is expected to add 10 lakh units per year to its production capacity.
