Kia India Achieves 100th Green Workshop Milestone, Aims for 150+ by 2026

New Delhi, September 30, 2025 โ€“ Kia India, one of the countryโ€™s leading mass-premium automobile brands, has announced the inauguration of its 100th Green Workshop, marking a significant step forward in its commitment to sustainability and eco-conscious aftersales operations.

Launched in 2023 with its first facility at Ransh Kia, Rohtak, the initiative has now reached a new milestone with the opening of the 100th outlet at Bright Kia, Kanpur. With this achievement, Kia India plans to expand the network to 150+ Green Workshops by 2026, strengthening its sustainable service infrastructure nationwide.

โ€œAchieving the milestone of 100 Green Workshops within two years underscores Kia Indiaโ€™s commitment to building a sustainable mobility ecosystem. Each workshop brings us closer to a world where progress doesnโ€™t come at the planetโ€™s cost,โ€ said Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India.

Driving Sustainability Through Innovation

Collectively, Kia Indiaโ€™s Green Workshops generate 7.9 MW of solar power, preventing nearly 9,000 metric tons of COโ‚‚ emissions annuallyโ€”equivalent to the absorption capacity of 450,000 mature trees.

The facilities integrate a host of eco-friendly measures, including:

  • Rainwater harvesting systems
  • Natural lighting and motion-sensor technologyย for energy efficiency
  • Effluent treatment plants
  • Steam wash systemsย to reduce water consumption
  • Waterless urinalsย with sustainable solutions
  • Recycling of automotive wasteย such as used batteries, waste oil, and hazardous materials

This initiative not only reduces ecological impact but also enhances operational efficiency, aligning with Kiaโ€™s vision of a cleaner, smarter, and greener mobility ecosystem.
