NueGo Celebrates Three Years as India’s Leading Intercity Electric Bus Brand

NueGo, the intercity electric bus service by GreenCell Mobility, has completed three successful years of operations, solidifying its position as India’s market leader in sustainable intercity travel. With a fleet of 300+ electric buses covering over 120 cities and clocking 600+ daily departures, NueGo has redefined how India travels between cities—combining comfort, safety, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.

In just three years, NueGo coaches have travelled 2,765 million kilometres, preventing 261 million kilograms of CO₂ emissions—equivalent to planting 3.53 million trees. The company employs 5000+ people, including 150+ women and 10+ transgender individuals, underscoring its commitment to diversity and inclusion in the transport sector.

To ensure smooth operations, NueGo has built a network of 100+ high-performance superchargers (180 kW and 240 kW), capable of fully charging a bus in just two hours—minimising downtime and boosting efficiency.

NueGo has pioneered women’s safety and empowerment initiatives in intercity travel, employing women as coach captains and cabin hosts, and launching India’s first all-women intercity bus service. Safety measures include a 24×7 women’s helpline (1800 267 3366), HD CCTV surveillance, real-time GPS tracking, mandatory driver breathalyzer tests, AI-enabled Driver Monitoring System, and reserved “Pink Seats” for women travellers. Clean, monitored mid-point stops and a 24×7 Command Control Centre further enhance passenger safety.
