MotoGP Authentics Launches First-Ever Icons Auction Featuring Valentino Rossi Helmet and Jake Dixon Moto2 Bike
MotoGP Authentics has announced its first-ever auction, giving fans and collectors a rare chance to own iconic, race-used memorabilia from the sport’s biggest legends. Titled the Icons Auction, the exclusive online event will run from August 12 to August 26, 2025, showcasing some of the most coveted items in recent MotoGP history.
Operated by Memento Exclusives under licence from Dorna, MotoGP Authentics follows in the footsteps of F1 Authentics and UFC Collectibles, both of which have set auction records in 2025. This debut MotoGP™ auction promises to set a new standard for authentic motorsport memorabilia.
Star Lot: Valentino Rossi’s 2007 Sepang Test-Used Helmet
Leading the auction is an extraordinarily rare test-used helmet from nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi, worn during the 2007 Sepang pre-season test. Featuring a striking Excalibur sword design, the helmet symbolised Rossi’s determination to reclaim his dominance after a challenging 2006 season. With only a few Rossi helmets in private hands, this piece offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for collectors to secure a tangible part of “Il Dottore’s” legendary career.
Jake Dixon’s 2024 British GP-Winning Moto2 Bike
Also headlining is the race-used Moto2 bike ridden by Jake Dixon to victory at the 2024 British Grand Prix, marking the first home win for a Brit in the class since 2015. Built on a Kalex chassis with a 765cc Triumph engine, the bike represents both engineering excellence and a pivotal moment in Dixon’s career. The winning bidder will collect the bike from the Aspar Factory in Guadassuar, Valencia, along with a VIP behind-the-scenes tour.
The Icons Auction will also include memorabilia from other MotoGP stars, including Marc Márquez, Casey Stoner, and Pedro Acosta, giving fans unparalleled access to pieces from across eras of the sport.
