Hero MotoCorp Reports 21% Surge in July 2025 Dispatches; VIDA EV Sales Hit Record High
Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported a significant 21% year-on-year (YoY) growth in dispatches for July 2025, sending out 449,755 units compared to 370,274 units in the same month last year. The company’s performance reflects strong market momentum across both ICE and electric mobility segments, even before the start of India’s festive sales season.
Backed by 339,827 retail registrations on VAHAN (excluding Telangana as of August 1, 2025), Hero MotoCorp maintained a healthy presence in both urban and rural markets, underlining stable consumer sentiment and a positive outlook heading into the peak sales quarter.
Scooters and Motorcycles Drive Segmental Growth
In the scooter category, Hero MotoCorp reported notable market share gains in July, led by the consistent performance of the Destini 125 and Xoom 125. Both models have found strong traction among commuters and young urban riders, boosting the brand’s appeal in a segment that’s seeing renewed consumer interest.
Meanwhile, in the motorcycle segment, the company continued to build on its entry-level portfolio with the launch of the HF Deluxe Pro. Designed with refreshed aesthetics, segment-leading features, and superior fuel efficiency, the HF Deluxe Pro aims to strengthen Hero’s dominance in the commuter bike market by catering to value-conscious buyers seeking performance and reliability.
VIDA EV Portfolio Breaks Records
Hero’s electric mobility division, VIDA – powered by Hero MotoCorp, also achieved a record-breaking milestone in July 2025, with 11,226 units dispatched and 10,489 VAHAN registrations. This marks VIDA’s highest-ever monthly performance and a clear indication of the growing consumer appetite for electric two-wheelers.
VIDA also doubled its EV VAHAN market share YoY, reaching 10.2% — a major leap that underscores Hero MotoCorp’s growing impact in the competitive EV space.
The VIDA V1 and the recently launched VX2, branded as “Badalte India ka Scooter“, have played a pivotal role in this surge. The VX2, featuring Hero’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, has received an overwhelmingly positive response from customers for its practical innovation and cost-effective ownership experience. The scooter merges electric mobility innovation with the tried-and-tested reliability that Hero is known for.
International Sales Remain Robust
Continuing its robust global strategy, Hero MotoCorp’s international business also stayed on a high-growth path, with exports exceeding 37,300 units in July 2025. The company’s consistent performance in overseas markets reinforces its global ambitions and the trust it enjoys as a manufacturer of technologically-advanced and dependable mobility solutions.
