Mumbai, India, August 20, 2026: Škoda Auto India has expanded its popular Kylaq SUV range with the launch of the new Škoda Kylaq Sportline, introducing a sportier design, darker exterior styling and additional premium features. The new variant is aimed at buyers looking for a more distinctive and dynamic version of the compact SUV.

The Kylaq has played a key role in Škoda Auto India’s recent growth, contributing to strong sales through 2025 and the first half of 2026. With the introduction of the Sportline, the company is looking to offer customers greater choice while strengthening the Kylaq’s appeal in the competitive compact SUV segment.

The Škoda Kylaq Sportline price starts at ₹11.32 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 1.0 TSI manual, while the automatic version is priced at ₹12.32 lakh.

Speaking about the new variant, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said the Sportline adds emotional appeal to the Kylaq range while continuing to focus on distinctive design, everyday practicality, safety and long-term ownership confidence.

Škoda Kylaq Sportline: Sportier Exterior Design

The Kylaq Sportline gets a number of styling updates designed to give the compact SUV a more aggressive appearance.

The exterior features Deep Black ORVMs, glossy black front and rear diffusers, LED projector headlamps and a Deep Black dual-tone floating roof. The SUV also gets 17-inch black alloy wheels, black tailgate branding and a dedicated Sportline badge.

A rear spoiler with finlets and a C-pillar Sportline sticker further distinguish the new variant from other Kylaq versions.

Sportline Interior Gets Dark Theme

The sporty treatment continues inside the cabin, with a darker theme applied to the roof, dashboard and door trims.

The Kylaq Sportline comes with leatherette seats featuring Sportline branding on the headrests and contrast stitching. Aluminium pedals add to the performance-inspired character.

Feature highlights include ambient lighting, wireless charging, an electric sunroof, Climatronic Auto AC, a 25.6 cm touchscreen infotainment system and a 20.32 cm Virtual Cockpit.

Dedicated Škoda Kylaq Sportline Accessories Pack

Škoda Auto India is also offering a dedicated Sportline Accessories Pack for customers seeking additional visual customisation.

The package includes a front bumper corner garnish, dark chrome front grille garnish, fender garnish with Škoda logo and glossy black body-side moulding.

These accessories are designed to further enhance the Kylaq Sportline’s exterior appearance and allow owners to personalise the SUV.

Škoda Kylaq Range Now Has Seven Variants

With the arrival of the Sportline, the Škoda Kylaq range now consists of seven variants:

• Classic+
• Signature
• Signature+
• Sportline
• Prestige
• Prestige+

Škoda has also enhanced equipment levels on the lower variants. The Kylaq Classic and Classic+ now get Climatronic Auto AC and a rear defogger, adding greater convenience to the entry-level versions.

Safety remains a key focus across the Kylaq range, with every variant continuing to feature a comprehensive package of active and passive safety technologies, including six airbags.

Škoda Kylaq Sportline Draws Inspiration From Motorsport

The Sportline variant is also positioned as an extension of Škoda’s long-standing motorsport heritage. The company’s association with motorsport dates back to 1901, with rallying and performance-focused engineering forming an important part of its history.

Škoda already offers Monte Carlo and Sportline variants across the Kushaq and Slavia ranges, and the Kylaq Sportline brings a similar performance-inspired design philosophy to the compact SUV.

The company recently demonstrated the dynamic capabilities of its India portfolio when the Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia, Kodiaq and limited-volume Octavia RS set an India and Asia Book of Records achievement for the fastest multi-car relay of a single manufacturer on a circuit.

The five vehicles recorded a combined lap time of 12:30.97, including driver change-over times, at the CoASTT track in Coimbatore.
