Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Announces Leadership Transition; Piyush Arora to Lead Sales and Marketing

Mumbai, India, July 9, 2026: Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has announced a key leadership transition within its Sales, Marketing and Digital division, with Jan Bures, Executive Director – Sales, Marketing and Digital, set to conclude his assignment in India and take on a new global role at Volkswagen AG from September 2026.

As part of the organisational change, Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, will assume the additional responsibility of Executive Director – Sales & Marketing for the Group’s India operations.

Jan Bures to move to Volkswagen AG

Jan Bures has been instrumental in strengthening the Group’s sales, marketing and digital operations during his tenure in India. As he prepares to transition to Volkswagen AG, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India expressed its appreciation for his contribution to the company’s growth and wished him success in his new global assignment.

The leadership move comes as the Group continues to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.

Piyush Arora to lead Sales and Marketing

With the additional responsibility, Piyush Arora will oversee both the company’s overall operations as Managing Director & CEO and its Sales and Marketing functions.

According to the company, the revised leadership structure has been introduced to:

  • Improve operational accountability
  • Support long-term business growth in India

The move is expected to bring greater integration between business strategy, product planning, sales and customer engagement as the Group expands its footprint in the Indian market.
