Kinetic Engineering Promoters Invest ₹40 Crore to Boost EV Growth Strategy
Pune, India – March 12, 2026: Kinetic Engineering Ltd (KEL), the flagship company of the Kinetic Group and a long-standing player in India’s automotive component industry, has announced a ₹40 crore capital infusion from its promoter group to support its strategic transformation and growth plans.
The investment, made through the conversion of warrants, is subject to regulatory approvals. Following the transaction, the promoter group’s shareholding in the company will increase to 65 percent, signalling strong long-term commitment to the company’s future.
Strengthening Presence in Electric Mobility
The fresh capital comes as Kinetic Engineering Ltd expands its capabilities in emerging mobility technologies, including electric vehicle components, battery systems, and precision engineering solutions for global and domestic OEMs.
The company has been positioning itself as a key player in the evolving electric mobility ecosystem, supporting both conventional automotive programs and next-generation EV platforms.
Investment to Support Expansion and Innovation
According to Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kinetic Engineering Ltd, the investment reflects growing confidence in the company’s future.
“This additional investment reflects the promoter group’s continued confidence in Kinetic Engineering and our long-term strategy. The automotive industry is undergoing a profound shift towards electric mobility, and we are building the capabilities needed to participate meaningfully in this transition,” he said.
Firodia added that strengthening the company’s capital base will help accelerate investments in technology, manufacturing capacity, and innovation as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
Kinetic DX EV Sees Strong Market Response
The announcement also comes amid strong interest in the Kinetic DX EV, recently launched by KEL’s subsidiary Kinetic Watts and Volts.
The electric scooter features several first-in-segment patented technologies, including Easy Charge™, Easy FLIP™, and Easy Key™, designed to enhance user convenience.
Built with a durable metal body, the scooter offers 37 litres of under-seat storage, making it one of the most spacious options in its segment.
The scooter is powered by a Range-X LFP battery, which offers improved safety and longevity compared with conventional NMC battery chemistry.
Expanding Dealer and Service Network
Following the positive response to the Kinetic DX EV, the company plans to expand its distribution network across India.
Kinetic aims to appoint over 150 dealers nationwide this year, while the EV scooter has already begun sales and service operations in cities including:
- Pune
- Mumbai
- Vadodara
- Surat
- Indore
- Delhi NCR
The company plans to expand the scooter’s presence nationwide as India’s electric two-wheeler market continues to grow rapidly.
