SMK Helmets Joins Moto4 Latin Cup as Official Technical Helmet Sponsor

India, March 12, 2026: SMK Helmets has announced a landmark partnership with the Moto4 Latin Cup, becoming the championship’s official technical helmet sponsor. The series is part of the global Road to MotoGP development ecosystem that nurtures young riders aiming to progress into professional motorcycle racing.

With this partnership, SMK becomes the first global Indian helmet brand to enter international motorsport through a Road to MotoGP championship, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy.

Titan Carbon Racing Helmet to Power the Grid

Riders competing in the championship will race wearing the Titan Carbon Racing helmet from SMK. Developed specifically for high-performance circuit racing, the helmet is built around a lightweight carbon fibre shell and features a race-oriented interior configuration designed for stability, protection and comfort at high speeds.

The helmet meets the stringent ECE 22.06 safety certification, ensuring it complies with the latest European safety regulations for motorcycle helmets.

Moto4 Latin Cup: A Key Step in the Road to MotoGP

The Moto4 Latin Cup forms an important part of the Road to MotoGP initiative, a structured international development pathway designed to identify and train the next generation of professional riders.

The 2026 season will feature 12 rounds across major circuits in Brazil and Argentina, with all riders competing on identical Honda NSF250R race machines to ensure a level playing field.

The championship will kick off from March 20–22 in Goiânia, Brazil, a country with a strong heritage in international motorcycle racing and host of the returning Brazilian Grand Prix.

The competition provides young riders from across the Americas a professional platform to develop their skills and progress toward higher levels of international racing.

Racing Insights to Drive Helmet Innovation

For SMK, the partnership represents more than just a branding opportunity. Racing environments offer valuable real-world data on aerodynamics, ventilation, helmet stability and rider comfort under extreme conditions.

Insights gathered through the championship—including on-track performance data and rider feedback—will contribute directly to SMK’s ongoing helmet development programme, helping improve safety and comfort for everyday riders globally.

Strengthening India’s Presence in Global Motorsport Safety

With more than five decades of helmet manufacturing expertise, SMK’s entry into international racing highlights the growing global recognition of Indian engineering and manufacturing capabilities in motorcycle safety equipment.

“Motorsport represents the highest expression of performance, precision and human ambition,” said Shilpa Arora, Head of Global Sales at SMK Helmets.

She added that supporting the Moto4 Latin Cup reflects the company’s long-term commitment to rider safety and technological innovation.

Sidhartha Khurana, Managing Director and CEO of SMK, emphasised that racing plays a critical role in advancing helmet technology.

“These young athletes represent the future of our sport, and we are proud to stand beside them as they pursue their dreams. The insights gained through racing environments will continue to strengthen the technology that ultimately protects riders on roads across the world,” he said.
