New Delhi, February 18, 2026: Kia India has announced that its flagship mid-size SUV, the Kia Seltos, has surpassed 6 lakh cumulative sales in India since its launch in 2019. The achievement underscores the model’s sustained popularity and consistent performance in the highly competitive mid-SUV segment.

Since its debut, the Seltos has maintained strong demand across variants and markets, emerging as one of the most successful SUVs in its category. The milestone highlights continued customer confidence in the model’s design, technology integration, safety features, and multiple powertrain options.

Redefining the Mid-SUV Segment

When it entered the Indian market in 2019, the Kia Seltos brought a distinctive global design language, a wide range of petrol and diesel engine options, and automatic transmissions across fuel types. It also introduced a feature-rich cabin experience with large-format infotainment systems, connected car technology, and premium interior finishes.

At a time when the segment largely focused on practicality, Seltos elevated expectations by emphasizing in-cabin technology, digital connectivity, and bold road presence. This differentiated positioning helped it attract buyers upgrading from hatchbacks, sedans, and compact SUVs.

Commenting on the milestone, Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, stated that crossing 6 lakh sales reflects sustained customer preference for a product that delivers strong fundamentals in design, safety, technology, and performance. He added that the consistent uptake across variants, including higher trims, signals growing confidence in advanced safety systems and connected technologies.

New-Generation Seltos Raises the Bar

The new-generation Kia Seltos builds on this strong legacy with enhanced dimensions and upgraded features. With a segment-leading length of 4,460 mm, width of 1,830 mm, and a longer wheelbase of 2,690 mm, the SUV offers improved interior space and a commanding road presence.

The updated model features an expanded digital interface, an upgraded ADAS suite, enhanced safety architecture, and improved cabin refinement. It continues to offer multiple powertrain and transmission combinations, ensuring flexibility for a wide spectrum of customers.
