Stellantis and Tata Motors Mark 20 Years of FIAPL Partnership, Sign MoU to Explore New Collaboration Opportunities
India: Global automotive major Stellantis and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, India’s leading manufacturer of cars and SUVs, have marked 20 years of successful partnership through their 50:50 joint venture, Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited (FIAPL). To commemorate the milestone, the two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore expanded collaboration opportunities across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain operations in India and overseas.
The renewed agreement builds on two decades of collaboration and aims to leverage Stellantis’ global automotive expertise alongside Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles’ strong local market capabilities. Over the years, FIAPL has developed robust competencies in manufacturing, powertrain development, and supply-chain excellence, creating a strong platform for future growth and cooperation.
Strengthening a Proven Automotive Alliance
FIAPL has played a key role in delivering operational excellence and scalable manufacturing solutions, supporting the strategic objectives of both partners. With the new MoU, Stellantis and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles will assess opportunities to further enhance future-ready manufacturing, engineering innovation, and sustainable growth initiatives across domestic and international markets.
