Kia India Commences Production of All-New Kia Seltos at Anantapur Plant, Prices on January 2, 2026

Kia India has reinforced its leadership in the country’s highly competitive mid-SUV segment with the commencement of production of the All-New Kia Seltos at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The milestone marks a significant moment in Kia’s India operations, with prices of the All-New Kia Seltos set to be announced on 2 January 2026.

The new-generation Seltos represents a bigger, bolder and more progressive evolution of one of India’s most popular SUVs. Engineered specifically to meet the evolving expectations of Indian customers, the All-New Kia Seltos delivers enhanced space, improved ride comfort, confident handling, advanced safety systems and next-generation digital technology, blending global standards with solutions tailored for Indian roads and lifestyles.

Leadership Speaks on Production Milestone

Commenting on the rollout, Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, Kia India, said,

Anantapur Plant: The Heart of Kia’s India Strategy

The Anantapur manufacturing facility, Kia’s first plant in India, was established in 2019 and is a key global production hub for the brand. It was also the site where the original Kia Seltos was first produced — a model conceptualised and engineered specifically for Indian customers. The facility serves both domestic demand and export markets, supported by advanced automation, stringent quality standards and a highly skilled workforce, making Seltos a flagship model in Kia’s global portfolio.

Bigger, Bolder and More Progressive

Built on Kia’s India-first global K3 platform, the All-New Kia Seltos features increased structural rigidity, optimised suspension geometry and enhanced damping, delivering superior ride comfort, better body control and reduced NVH levels.

Bigger in presence, the SUV now measures 4,460 mm in length1,830 mm in width, with a 2,690 mm wheelbase, making it the longest in the segment and significantly improving cabin space and driving stability.

Bolder in design, the new Seltos embraces Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. Highlights include the Digital Tiger FaceIce Cube LED projection headlamps with Dynamic Welcome Function, sporty crystal-cut alloy wheels with neon brake calipers, and a muscular, contemporary silhouette that enhances its premium road presence.

Advanced Technology, Connectivity and Safety

Progressive by intent, the All-New Kia Seltos integrates next-generation digital interfaces, advanced connectivity and intelligent driver assistance systems. Key features include first-in-segment Smart Key Proximity Unlockwireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the upgraded Kia Connect 2.0 suiteOver-the-Air (OTA) updates, and Kia Connect Diagnosis.

Safety remains a core focus, with a 24 Standard Safety Pack and an ADAS Level 2 suite featuring 21 autonomous safety functions, offering enhanced confidence and reassurance for everyday driving.

Powertrain Options and Variants

The All-New Kia Seltos is offered with three powerful and efficient engine options:

  • Smartstream G1.5 Petrol – 115 PS, 144 Nm
  • Smartstream G1.5 T-GDI Petrol – 160 PS, 253 Nm
  • 1.5L CRDi VGT Diesel – 116 PS, 250 Nm

Transmission choices include 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, IVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed AT, ensuring wide driving flexibility.

The SUV is available across four trims — HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX, along with HTE(O), HTK(O), HTX(A) and GTX(A) variants. The X-Line Styling Pack is exclusively offered on GTX and GTX(A), complemented by Convenience, Premium, ADAS and X-Line add-on packages, allowing customers to personalise their Seltos to suit their preferences.
