Citroën India Expands Network with 126th Sales and Service Facility in Chennai
Chennai strengthens its position as a key market as Citroën accelerates dealer expansion under the Citroën 2.0 strategy
Citroën India has reinforced its commitment to enhancing customer accessibility and brand reach by inaugurating its 126th Point of Sales and Service (POS&S) in Chennai, marking another milestone in the brand’s nationwide expansion. The new facility aligns with the company’s Citroën 2.0 – ‘Shift Into The New’ strategy, aimed at deepening localisation, expanding the dealer and service footprint, and delivering customer-centric ownership experiences across India.
The rapid expansion is being fuelled by continued product innovation, strengthened engineering and software capabilities, and growing export programmes, all of which have contributed to accelerated domestic growth. Citroën’s renewed focus on India-specific products and a wider customer ecosystem has further strengthened its manufacturing and retail presence in the country.
New 3S Facility Strengthens Chennai Footprint
The newly launched 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility is an extension of Citroën’s long-standing partnership with VTK Automobiles, a key franchise partner in Chennai. VTK Automobiles already operates four Citroën touchpoints across the city, including showrooms at OMR and Nungambakkam, and workshops at OMR and Kattupakkam.
Strategically located at Chitlapakkam near Chrompet, the new dealership has been established to significantly enhance Citroën’s coverage and improve accessibility for both sales and after-sales customers. Designed as a future-forward showroom, the facility offers an immersive brand experience, allowing customers to explore, customise and experience Citroën vehicles in a seamless, unified environment.
Leadership Speaks on Network Growth
Speaking at the inauguration, Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director, Stellantis India, said,
“The expansion of the Stellantis network with the VTK dealership in Chennai marks another important step in Citroën and Jeep India’s network growth strategy. Chennai is a key market for us, and this upgraded facility will enable us to serve our customers better with a seamless sales and ownership experience. Aligned with our Citroën 2.0 strategy, we remain committed to strengthening dealer partnerships and building a robust, customer-centric network across the country.”
Kumar Priyesh, Director – Automotive Brands, highlighted the scale of network growth, stating,
“We have grown our network by almost 48.6% since the announcement of the Citroën 2.0 strategy. Over the last six months, we added more than 43 POS, expanding across tier 2 and tier 3 locations while strengthening our presence in metro and tier 1 cities. We are in advanced stages of launching additional operations in the North, West and East, and expect to close the year with 135 POS across India.”
Stellantis Brand House: A Holistic Automotive Destination
The Chennai facility also operates as a Stellantis Brand House, bringing Citroën and Jeep® under one roof. More than just a dealership, it offers a holistic automotive destination with cutting-edge infrastructure, interactive digital tools, advanced diagnostics, and a fully equipped service centre.
Sree Venkata Teja Kethineni, Dealer Principal, VTK Automobiles, said,
“We are proud to partner in this pivotal shift in automotive retail, representing both Jeep and Citroën. Our dual-brand strategy allows us to deliver a truly elevated customer experience—whether it’s rugged performance or refined sophistication. Our team is committed to personalised care while upholding the global standards of these iconic brands.”
