New Nissan Magnite Secures 5-Star Safety Rating from Global NCAP

In a significant milestone for automotive safety and Indian manufacturing, Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd has proudly announced that the New Nissan Magnite has earned a 5-star overall safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP). This recognition cements the Magnite’s position as one of the safest vehicles in its segment, reflecting Nissan’s ongoing commitment to delivering world-class safety in its vehicles.

Manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant, the New Magnite is part of the company’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy, catering to both right-hand-drive (RHD) and left-hand-drive (LHD) markets. The vehicle is currently exported to over 65 countries, including key markets like South Africa. The 5-star safety rating is based on the RHD version tested by GNCAP, which is sold in both India and South Africa. It achieved 5 stars for adult occupant protection and 3 stars for child occupant protection, culminating in an overall 5-star safety rating.

Built for Safety, Designed to Protect

Launched in October 2024, the New Nissan Magnite underwent comprehensive crash testing protocols, including evaluations for frontal and side impact, child safety, and electronic stability control (ESC). The SUV demonstrated exceptional build quality, thanks to a body structure with 67% high tensile strength steel, and comes equipped with a host of standard safety features.
