September 27, 2025: F1® Authentics, the official home of Formula 1® memorabilia, has announced the headline lot for its Austin GP Auction campaign—a genuine Toro Rosso STR14-04 race car from the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship season. This ex-race chassis represents one of the rarest categories in motorsport collectibles: a podium-finishing car from the hybrid era.

A Milestone in F1 Heritage

The STR14 holds a special place in Formula 1 history as the final car to carry the Toro Rosso name and livery before the team rebranded to AlphaTauri. Adorned in its striking blue, silver, and red paint scheme with sponsor branding intact, the car is a visual and technical masterpiece, making it a true collector’s dream.

During the 2019 season, the car was driven by Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon. Gasly famously delivered a stunning P2 finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix, securing his first-ever F1 podium and Toro Rosso’s best result of the decade—an achievement that cemented the STR14’s legacy.

Race-Used Authenticity and Collectible Value

The chassis is being offered in outstanding condition, showcasing authentic race-used character and a host of original components. While the Honda power unit has been returned to Japan, the car comes complete with a different-spec front nosecone and wing, team cover, spare parts, and additional rims and tyres.

This makes the STR14 one of the only genuine, race-used hybrid-era Formula 1 cars to ever be released for private ownership, elevating its status as a landmark piece of F1 memorabilia.
