Krish Gupta Leads Rayo Racing Double Podium at MECO-FMSCI National Karting Championship in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, September 15 – Mumbai’s Krish Gupta powered to victory in the Senior Max category to headline Round 4 of the MECO-FMSCI National Karting Championship Rotax Max Classes 2025, held at the Meco Kartopia circuit. With SIDVIN Energy Engineering as the presenting sponsor and MRF Tyres as partner sponsor, the weekend of high-octane racing saw standout performances across all categories.

Krish Gupta tops Senior Max Finals

Starting from fifth on the grid, Krish Gupta (Rayo Racing) battled through the field to clinch the Senior Max Finals, marking an impressive turnaround in a class dominated until then by local favourite Ishaan Madesh (Peregrine Racing). Gupta clocked 16 minutes, 57.541 seconds across 18 laps to take top honours.

Pune’s Arjun Vijay Chheda (Crest Motorsports) finished second, just 1.3 seconds behind, while Aahil Mecklai (Rayo Racing) secured third, ensuring a double podium for the Mumbai-based team. Championship leader Madesh, despite topping both Heats and the Pre-Final, was forced to settle for fourth after an incident in the Finals. He still leads the points standings by just two points over Chheda.

Rivaan Dev Preetham dominates Mini Max

One of the weekend’s biggest stories was Chennai schoolboy Rivaan Dev Preetham (MSPORT), who continued his flawless season in the Mini Max category. Rivaan swept all sessions – two Heats, Pre-Final, and Final – while also setting a new track lap record of 57.991 seconds around the 1.2 km circuit.

Rivaan’s dominance saw him extend his championship lead to 32 points over Faridabad’s Yatharth Gaur (Leapfrog Racing). Rehan Khan Rasheed (Momentum Motorsports) and Hamza Balasinorwala (Crest Motorsports) completed the Final’s podium.

Arafath Sheikh and Shiv Tummala shine in Junior & Micro Max

In the Junior Max class, Pune’s Arafath Sheikh (Crest Motorsports) showcased his supremacy by winning both the Pre-Final and the Final. His stellar form has closed the gap in the championship, leaving him just 30 points adrift of leader Eshanth Vengatesan (MSPORT) from Chennai.

The Micro Max category belonged to Shiv Tummala (Peregrine Racing), who swept both the Pre-Final and Final in Bengaluru. He held off Coimbatore’s Shiv Neel (MSPORT) and Gurugram’s Rudra Pratap Singh (Leapfrog Racing)to secure maximum points.

Grand Finals nomination confirmed

With four rounds completed, category leaders Rivaan Dev Preetham (Mini Max)Eshanth Vengatesan (Junior Max), and Ishaan Madesh (Senior Max) have been nominated to represent India at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Bahrain’s Shakir Circuit (November 29 – December 6, 2025).
