Royal Enfield Launches Flying Flea C6 Electric Motorcycle in Bengaluru, Bookings Open

Royal Enfield has officially entered the electric mobility space with the launch of its new sub-brand Flying Flea and its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6 (FF.C6), in Bengaluru. The launch marks a significant milestone as the iconic brand steps into the EV segment in its 125th year.

The Flying Flea C6 is now available at the brand’s first exclusive retail outlet in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, with bookings opening at 12 PM on April 10, 2026. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by the end of May, while the company plans a phased rollout across other cities in India.

Priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the FF.C6 is also offered under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model at ₹1.99 lakh, making it a more accessible option for urban riders. The motorcycle is available in two colour options—Storm Black and Flea Green.

Inspired by the original Flying Flea motorcycle from the 1940s, the new FF.C6 blends heritage styling with modern electric mobility. Built as a lightweight, agile urban machine, the motorcycle weighs just 124 kg and delivers a top speed of 115 km/h. It produces over 400 Nm of wheel torque and 60 Nm of motor torque, offering quick acceleration tailored for city riding.

At its core, the Flying Flea C6 is powered by a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a peak power output of 15.4 kW. The bike supports multiple charging options—Rapid, Standard, and Trickle—via a standard 16A wall socket. It can charge from 20% to 80% in just over 60 minutes, with an average charging rate of around 1% per minute. Regenerative braking further enhances efficiency by recovering energy during deceleration.

The FF.C6 stands out with its strong focus on connected technology. It features WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G connectivity, along with over-the-air (OTA) updates that allow continuous improvements. Riders also benefit from features such as a touchscreen TFT display, joystick controls, cruise control, voice assist, and a programmable button for enhanced convenience.

Safety and rider assistance systems include lean-angle ABS, traction control, tip-over alerts, and live location sharing. The motorcycle also introduces an industry-first rotary mode switch, enabling seamless transitions between riding modes without distraction.

In terms of design, the Flying Flea C6 retains a neo-vintage appeal while integrating modern engineering. A standout feature is the forged aluminium Girder fork—an advanced suspension setup inspired by the original Flying Flea. The bike also incorporates a unique battery fin design that merges heritage cues with futuristic styling, forming a distinctive wing-like motif.

The FF.C6 has been developed entirely in-house by a team of over 200 engineers across India and the UK, supported by more than 45 patent applications. The motorcycle has already earned global recognition, winning the Red Dot Design Award 2025 in the Design Concept category.

Speaking on the launch, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, said the Flying Flea brand represents a new direction focused on creating a distinct urban riding experience rather than just transitioning to electric power.

With this launch, Royal Enfield signals its intent to build a strong presence in the electric two-wheeler segment. Backed by a pipeline of upcoming EV models and a city-by-city rollout strategy, the Flying Flea C6 is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of premium urban mobility in India.
