Nissan India Accelerates Retail Expansion with 54 New Touchpoints in Q1 2026, Eyes 400 by FY27
Gurugram, April 10, 2026: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has announced a landmark expansion of its retail footprint, opening 54 new customer touchpoints across India in the first quarter of calendar year 2026 (CY Q1 2026). This multi-city rollout marks a major step in the automaker’s aggressive growth strategy in the country.
The newly launched facilities include a strategic mix of 3S (Sales, Service, Spare Parts), 2S, and 1S outlets, aimed at enhancing accessibility and strengthening Nissan’s presence in both urban and emerging markets. The expansion aligns with the company’s broader vision of building a robust nationwide network to support its evolving product portfolio.
Speaking on the development, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan India, said the expansion represents a critical milestone in the brand’s India journey. He highlighted that the company’s network growth is closely tied to its product offensive strategy, which includes the recently launched Nissan GRAVITE, the soon-to-be-launched Nissan TEKTON, a new C-segment 7-seater SUV, and the continued success of the Nissan Magnite.
Vatsa further emphasized that expanding the network is key to improving customer accessibility, enhancing brand experience, and supporting Nissan’s ambitious goal of reaching 400 touchpoints across India by the end of FY2027.
All newly inaugurated outlets are designed in accordance with Nissan’s global retail standards, featuring modern infrastructure and staffed by trained professionals to deliver a seamless and premium customer experience.
The expansion comes amid strong sales momentum for Nissan in India. In March 2026, the company reported cumulative sales of 10,388 units, including domestic wholesales of 4,408 units—its highest monthly domestic wholesale performance in the past five years, reflecting a robust 98% year-on-year growth. Exports accounted for 5,980 units, further reinforcing India’s role as a key hub for Nissan’s global operations.
The continued popularity of the Nissan Magnite has played a crucial role in driving volumes, while the introduction of new models like the Nissan GRAVITE is expected to further strengthen the brand’s positioning across high-growth segments.
With a strengthened product lineup and rapidly expanding retail network, Nissan Motor India is positioning itself for sustained growth in one of the world’s most competitive automotive markets.
