Marco Bezzecchi Makes MotoGP History with Fourth Straight Win as Aprilia Dominate Brazil GP

Brazil – MotoGP 2026: History was made at the Brazilian Grand Prix as Marco Bezzecchi stormed to a sensational fourth consecutive victory, leading a dominant 1-2 finish for Aprilia Racing. The Italian rider not only secured his place at the top of the championship standings but also delivered Aprilia’s first-ever four-race winning streak in the premier class.

Bezzecchi produced a flawless performance on Sunday, bouncing back from a less-than-ideal Sprint to grab the holeshot and control the race from the front. Behind him, teammate Jorge Martin continued his strong comeback form, finishing second to complete a historic result for the Noale-based manufacturer.

Bezzecchi Controls Race from the Start

Starting from the front row, Fabio Di Giannantonio initially slotted into second place, while Marc Marquez held third. However, the early laps saw immediate action as Marquez moved into second on Lap 2, with rising star Pedro Acosta charging from ninth to fifth in an impressive opening stint.

Despite the battles behind, Bezzecchi maintained a relentless pace, steadily building a gap at the front and asserting control over the race.

Mid-Race Drama Shakes Up Podium Fight

The race took a dramatic turn on Lap 6 when Di Giannantonio launched an aggressive move on Marc Marquez. Both riders ran wide, allowing Jorge Martin to capitalize and move into second place. While Di Giannantonio retained position ahead of Marquez, the shuffle reshaped the podium battle.

Further back, Alex Marquez overtook Acosta for fifth, while Ai Ogura joined the fight as the race progressed, intensifying the midfield battle.

Late Battle Reignites Between Marquez and Di Giannantonio

In the closing laps, the fight for third mirrored their Sprint showdown. Marc Marquez executed a bold move at Turn 6 to reclaim third, but Di Giannantonio responded immediately. The Italian capitalized on a mistake by Marquez and retook the position, this time holding firm until the chequered flag.

Historic Win and Championship Shake-Up

At the front, Bezzecchi remained untouchable, crossing the line to secure his fourth straight MotoGP victory — a milestone achievement for both himself and Aprilia. The result propels him into the championship lead, while Aprilia also move to the top of the constructors’ standings.

Jorge Martin’s second-place finish capped off an emotional weekend, marking a strong return to form and sealing a dominant 1-2 for the team.

Fabio Di Giannantonio claimed his first Grand Prix podium of the season in third, finishing ahead of Marc Marquez, who had to settle for fourth.
