Bengaluru, March 13, 2026: Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has secured cumulative orders for more than 5,000 buses and bus chassis from multiple State Transport Undertakings (STUs) across the country. The large-scale orders highlight the company’s strong position as a leading provider of mass mobility solutions in India.

The contracts were awarded through a competitive e-bidding process under the Government’s procurement system, with the delivery and deployment of the buses scheduled in phases in coordination with the respective transport corporations.

Orders from Multiple State Transport Undertakings

The orders have been placed by several key public transport bodies across India, including:

  • Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC)
  • Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC)
  • North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC)

  • Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC)
  • Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC)

  • Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU)
