Ashok Leyland Strengthens LCV Network in Maharashtra and Western India, Expands Service Reach
Mumbai, February 19, 2026: Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and one of the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has announced plans to significantly strengthen its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) network across Maharashtra and the wider Western India region.
The move comes as the company looks to capitalise on the region’s strong economic growth, rapid infrastructure development and rising demand for LCVs. By expanding its dealership and service footprint, Ashok Leyland aims to reinforce its market leadership while addressing the diverse transportation needs of businesses across Western India.
Expanding Dealer and Service Footprint
Currently, Ashok Leyland’s LCV business in Western India operates through 29 dealer partners, 130 service workshops and more than 350 ALTTs (Ashok Leyland Trained Technicians). This extensive network ensures service availability at intervals of approximately 35 kilometres.
Over the next year, the company plans to further enhance its service penetration, targeting a touchpoint every 25 kilometres. The expansion is expected to improve uptime, reduce turnaround time for maintenance and repairs, and deliver greater convenience to fleet operators and small business owners.
Focus on Best-in-Class LCV Performance
Commenting on the development, Viplav Shah, Head – LCV Business at Ashok Leyland, stated that expanding the network in Maharashtra and Western India will be a “game changer” for the company.
He highlighted that Ashok Leyland’s LCV range offers best-in-class mileage, payload capacity, loading area, driver comfort and reliability. The strengthened service reach is designed to complement these product advantages, further enhancing customer satisfaction and long-term ownership value.
Western India remains a strategic market for the company, with sectors such as logistics, e-commerce, agriculture, construction and MSMEs driving sustained demand for light commercial vehicles.
Driving Growth Through Innovation and Technology
Ashok Leyland continues to drive growth through innovation and advanced technology, strengthening its position in India’s competitive commercial vehicle industry. With an expanding market share and a robust LCV portfolio, the company is well-positioned to scale operations in high-growth states such as Maharashtra.
