Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team Unveils 2026 AMR26 Livery in Saudi Arabia Ahead of New F1 Era

Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team officially launched its 2026 Formula 1 season with the unveiling of its new AMR26 livery at Ithra (King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture) in Dhahran, in collaboration with Title Partner Aramco.

As part of the launch programme, the Silverstone-based outfit revealed a concept car featuring the AMR26 livery, offering the first visual insight into its challenger for Formula One’s landmark 2026 technical regulations. The AMR26 will make its on-track debut during pre-season testing in Bahrain later this week.

A New Chapter for Aston Martin Aramco

The high-profile launch event featured an address from Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll, a Q&A session with the team’s working partners, a cinematic hero film, and a live musical performance from The World of Hans Zimmer, delivered by Swiss cellist Jodok Vuille.

The AMR26 represents a pivotal moment in Aston Martin Aramco’s Formula One journey. It is the first car shaped by Adrian Newey’s design philosophy and the first overseen by Chief Technical Officer Enrico Cardile, signalling a fresh technical direction under the sport’s most significant regulatory overhaul in a generation.

The 2026 regulations introduce new power units, revised aerodynamic rules, and advanced sustainable fuels, prompting a full reset across Formula One. Aston Martin Aramco’s AMR26 has been developed with a clear focus on long-term competitiveness, performance consistency, and championship ambition.

First Season as a Full Works Team

The 2026 campaign also marks a major milestone for the team as it enters its first season as a full works operation, unlocking greater design freedom under the new regulations. Strategic partnerships with HondaAramco, and Valvoline provide world-class expertise across power unit integrationsustainable fuel development, and high-performance lubricants.

To support this ambition, Aston Martin Aramco has completed major upgrades to its AMR Technology Campus, including the introduction of the CoreWeave AIR Tunnel and a new driver-in-the-loop simulator, both of which became operational last year. These facilities place the team among the most technologically advanced operations on the Formula One grid.

Leadership Insight

Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman, said:
“The AMR26 represents a defining step for Aston Martin Aramco as we enter Formula One’s new era in 2026. These regulations mark the biggest reset the sport has seen in a generation, and we are approaching it with clear ambition: to build a team capable of winning. With our partners, people, facilities, and long-term investment now in place, today marks another important milestone on that journey.”

Adrian Newey, Managing Technical Partner and Team Principal, added:
“2026 is a rare moment in Formula One because the chassis and power unit regulations have changed together. With the AMR26, we’ve taken a holistic approach – it’s not about one standout component, but how the full package works together. Our focus has been on strong fundamentals, development potential, and creating a car that Lance and Fernando can consistently extract performance from.”
