Omega Seiki Mobility Enters Fast-Speed Electric Scooter Segment with Launch of OSM Vextra at ₹99,900
New Delhi — Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has announced the launch of its first fast-speed electric two-wheeler, the OSM Vextra, priced at ₹99,900. The launch marks OSM’s strategic entry into the personal urban mobility segment, expanding its footprint beyond commercial electric vehicles into the mass-market electric scooter space.
Designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance and affordable electric scooters, the OSM Vextra offers a top speed of up to 70 km/h and a real-world riding range of over 110 km per charge. With smart connectivity features and low running costs, the new electric scooter aims to make clean mobility more accessible for daily commuters and professional riders across India.
The launch comes at a time when India’s electric two-wheeler market is witnessing rapid growth, driven by rising fuel prices, urban congestion, sustainability goals and supportive government policies. As consumer preference shifts from low-speed to high-speed, long-range electric vehicles, demand for performance-driven yet practical EV solutions continues to rise. Omega Seiki Mobility’s entry into this segment with the Vextra aligns with this evolving market landscape.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Uday Narang, Founder & Chairman, Omega Seiki Mobility, said the company’s vision is to democratise clean mobility through reliable and future-ready products. He added that the OSM Vextra balances performance, range and affordability, and is designed not only for metro cities but also for Tier II and Tier III markets where efficient mobility can create meaningful impact.
Gaurav Kumar, Vice President – Strategy and Operations, Two-Wheeler Business, Omega Seiki Mobility, said the Vextra has been developed around real-world urban mobility needs. He noted that the scooter blends intelligent technology, comfort and sustainable efficiency to deliver a dependable and effortless electric riding experience for the next generation of commuters.
Key Features and Technology
The OSM Vextra is powered by a 3.45 kWh IP67-rated LMFP battery paired with a 3 kW BLDC hub motor, delivering consistent performance with a gradeability of 12 degrees. It features three riding modes—Eco, City and Sports—allowing riders to choose between efficiency and performance based on riding conditions.
The scooter is equipped with a 3.5-inch colour LCD display offering real-time state of charge, distance-to-empty and speed information. Additional features include USB charging, reverse parking assist, optional GSM connectivity and fast home charging, with 0–80% charge achievable in four hours.
Manufacturing, Reach and Expansion Plans
OSM Vextra will be manufactured at Omega Seiki Mobility’s Faridabad facility, which has an annual production capacity of 25,000 units. The company will leverage its pan-India dealer network of over 200 dealerships to reach customers across Tier I, II and III cities. In addition to the domestic market, the Vextra will also be exported to African markets, strengthening OSM’s global presence.
