Kia India Partners with BPCL to Expand EV Charging Network to Over 15,000 Touchpoints Nationwide

Goa, India — Kia India has announced a strategic partnership with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to significantly expand its public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country. Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Kia’s K-Charge ecosystem will grow to more than 15,000 charging touchpoints nationwide, enhancing charging accessibility and boosting range confidence for Kia EV customers.

The collaboration integrates over 3,000 BPCL public charging stations into Kia India’s K-Charge platform, marking a major step toward improving EV usability across urban centres, highways, and inter-city routes. The initiative directly addresses one of the key barriers to EV adoption in India—reliable and widespread charging availability.

Commenting on the development, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said the partnership aims to make EV ownership more convenient and stress-free. He added that expanding the K-Charge network will allow customers to plan longer journeys with greater confidence, while supporting India’s broader transition toward sustainable mobility.

The MoU was formalised on the sidelines of the 4th edition of India Energy Week 2026, held from January 27 to 30 at the ONGC Academy Training Institute (ATI) in Goa. The agreement significantly strengthens Kia India’s public charging footprint by leveraging BPCL’s nationwide fuel retail and energy infrastructure.

K-Charge, accessible through the MyKia App and the Kia India website, offers a unified digital platform that allows customers to locate charging stations, navigate to them, and complete payments seamlessly. The expanded network reduces reliance on standalone charging providers and simplifies the overall EV ownership experience.

The charging infrastructure expansion aligns with Kia India’s growing electric vehicle portfolio in the country. The recently introduced Carens Clavis EV, Kia India’s first made-in-India electric vehicle, has received an encouraging response for its spacious seven-seat layout and technology-focused features. Kia’s global EV lineup, including the premium EV6 and flagship EV9, further reinforces the brand’s commitment to electric mobility in India.
