Škoda Auto India Expands Kylaq Line-up as SUV Crosses 50,000 Sales Milestone

Škoda Auto India continues its strong growth momentum after its most successful sales year in 2025 by expanding the variant mix of its best-selling SUV, the Kylaq. Reinforcing its strategy to democratise European technology for Indian customers, the brand has introduced additional variants, offering more choice, value, and accessibility across price points.

The Škoda Kylaq has emerged as a key growth pillar for the brand, recording over 50,000 units sold since its launch. The milestone comes in Škoda Auto’s 25th year in India and has played a significant role in delivering the company’s best-ever annual sales performance. With its combination of safety, driving dynamics, advanced technology, and strong value proposition, the Kylaq has established itself as a strong contender in the highly competitive sub-4-metre SUV segment.

Commenting on the model’s first anniversary, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said the Kylaq reflects the brand’s long-term commitment to the Indian market. He added that the expanded line-up focuses on customer-led enhancements while making the Kylaq the most accessible SUV in its segment to offer a full-fledged automatic torque converter transmission.

Expanded Variant Line-up for 2026

For 2026, the Kylaq range grows from four to six variants, with price points expanding from seven to eleven. Škoda Auto India has introduced a new Classic+ variant positioned between the Classic and Signature trims, while a new Prestige+ now sits at the top of the line-up. The restructured range ensures greater flexibility for buyers across varied budgets and feature preferences.

The newly introduced Kylaq Classic+ enhances accessibility to premium features, offering an electric sunroof, automatic IRVM, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, and a multi-function steering wheel. Crucially, it becomes the most affordable vehicle in its segment to feature a proper automatic torque converter transmission.

Responding to customer demand, Škoda Auto India has also upgraded the Signature and Signature+ variants with additions such as an electric sunroof, paddle shifters for automatic versions, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and washer, and LED reading lamps. The flagship Prestige variant has been further split into Prestige and Prestige+, offering buyers enhanced choice and value at the top end of the range.

Class-Leading Safety and Ownership Benefits

The Škoda Kylaq remains the safest ICE SUV in its segment, securing the highest safety ratings in Bharat NCAP crash tests. Every variant comes standard with six airbags and over 25 safety features, while higher trims offer more than 40 safety features as standard. Ownership benefits include a best-in-segment four-year standard warranty, four years of roadside assistance, and four labour-free services, including periodic maintenance and newly introduced Škoda Check-in services.

Anniversary Offers to Celebrate One Year

To mark one year of the Kylaq, Škoda Auto India has announced limited-period anniversary offers of up to ₹50,000 on select variants. Customers can also avail a 50% discount on the one-year Škoda Maintenance Package, along with an assured gift on every Kylaq purchase. These offers are valid until 28 February 2026.
