Zypp Electric Scales to 1,000 EVs in Jaipur and Hyderabad Within a Month

New Delhi: Zypp Electric, India’s leading EV rental platform for last-mile delivery, has announced a rapid expansion in Jaipur and Hyderabad, scaling operations to 1,000 electric vehicles within just one month of launchin the two cities. The milestone underlines the growing demand for sustainable last-mile logistics and the accelerating adoption of electric mobility in India’s tier-2 markets.

The expansion marks Zypp Electric’s entry into Jaipur—its first tier-2 city—and strengthens its footprint beyond established metros such as Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

Boosting Gig Economy Earnings with Electric Mobility

Zypp Electric’s growing presence is reinforcing its role as a key enabler of India’s gig economy, offering delivery partners an affordable and sustainable mobility solution. According to the company, delivery riders using Zypp EVs can earn ₹25,000–35,000 per month, while saving over ₹5,000 monthly compared to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

The platform’s battery-swapping infrastructure eliminates range anxiety and reduces downtime, enabling uninterrupted operations across e-commerce, food delivery and quick commerce segments.

New EV Hubs Strengthen Local Infrastructure

To support its rapid scale-up, Zypp Electric has commissioned two new state-of-the-art hubs in Jaipur and Hyderabad, each spanning over 5,000 square feet. These facilities serve as integrated centres for:

  • EV maintenance
  • Battery swapping
  • Delivery partner onboarding and support

Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its fleet to 10,000 EVs in Hyderabad and 5,000 EVs in Jaipur in the upcoming financial year.

Leadership View: EVs Are Economically Compelling

Commenting on the milestone, Akash Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Zypp Electric, said the rapid adoption validates the economic viability of electric last-mile delivery beyond metro cities.

“Reaching 1,000 EVs in both Jaipur and Hyderabad within a month validates our belief that electric last-mile delivery is not just environmentally necessary, but economically compelling across many more Indian cities,” Gupta said.

“Jaipur, being my home city, makes this launch especially meaningful. As we scale to 15,000 vehicles across these cities in the coming year, we are demonstrating how well-executed EV infrastructure can transform the gig-delivery ecosystem.”

Strong National Growth and Sustainability Impact

As of late 2025, Zypp Electric operates a fleet of over 22,000 electric vehicles nationwide. The company reported ₹455 crore in revenue in FY25, marking 50% year-on-year growth, and has completed over 100 million deliveriesto date.

Zypp’s EV operations have helped save an estimated 58 million kg of carbon emissions, supported by a nationwide network of 1,500+ battery swap points and a growing three-wheeler EV fleet of over 900 vehicles.

Roadmap to 2030

Zypp Electric plans to expand aggressively over the next five years, targeting more than 100,000 EVs across 25 cities by 2030, positioning itself as a key driver of clean mobility, sustainable logistics and inclusive employment in India.
