Škoda Names Its Future Electric Flagship ‘Peaq’, World Premiere Set for Summer 2026
Mladá Boleslav: Škoda Auto has officially revealed the name of its upcoming all-electric flagship model, confirming that the brand’s future seven-seater EV will be called Škoda Peaq. The new model, positioned at the very top of Škoda’s global portfolio, is set to make its world premiere in summer 2026.
The Peaq traces its origins to the Vision 7S concept, unveiled in spring 2022, which introduced Škoda’s Modern Solid design language. The concept marked a significant shift in the brand’s design and product philosophy, highlighting a strong focus on sustainability, functional design and advanced technology, while offering a first glimpse of a future all-electric seven-seat production model.
Modern Solid Design Comes to Life
Since the debut of Vision 7S, Škoda has progressively evolved its design identity and product strategy. The Peaq represents the realisation of that vision, translating the concept’s core ideas into a production-ready electric vehicle. Designed to embody Škoda’s long-standing strengths, the Peaq places a renewed emphasis on space, practicality and comfort, now elevated through electric mobility.
Flagship Electric SUV with Seven Seats
As a fully electric seven-seater, the Škoda Peaq is aimed at families and customers seeking versatility across work, leisure and long-distance travel. The spacious interior is expected to deliver high levels of flexibility and comfort, combined with Škoda’s signature Simply Clever solutions, ensuring intuitive usability and everyday practicality.
Leadership Perspective
Commenting on the announcement, Martin Jahn, Škoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing, said the Vision 7S marked the beginning of a new chapter for the brand. He noted that the Peaq brings Škoda’s bold electric vision to life and clearly establishes the model’s position at the top of the portfolio, reflecting the brand’s ambition and future direction.
Expanding Škoda’s Electric Portfolio
The Peaq will serve as a major milestone in Škoda’s expanding electric model range, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility. With its combination of advanced technology, thoughtful design and seven-seat practicality, the upcoming flagship is expected to play a key role in shaping Škoda’s electric future.
