Esteban Ocon Auctions Unique Fan-Designed Helmet from 2025 São Paulo Grand Prix to Support Laureus Sport for Good

Formula 1 driver Esteban Ocon has announced the auction of his one-of-a-kind fan-designed helmet, worn during the 2025 São Paulo Grand Prix. The exclusive 1-of-1 race-used helmet is available via the F1® Authentics online auction, with 100% of proceeds donated to Laureus Sport for Good, the global charity dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people through the power of sport.

A Fan’s Artwork Turned Into a Race Weekend Reality

Earlier this year, the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team driver invited fans to submit creative helmet designs for the Brazilian Grand Prix — a race that holds special meaning for Ocon after his unexpected podium finish in 2024. After a massive global response, Ocon selected a design created by a fan named Fernanda.

Revealing the competition on Instagram, Ocon said:
“Brazil means a lot to me… every year I go there is extra special. I decided that YOU can design my helmet for the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix.”

Fernanda’s winning design blends Ocon’s 2025 red-and-black base with the colours of the Brazilian flag, a tribute to local culture and the legacy of Ayrton Senna, with “Senna Forever” inscribed on the back. The design incorporates warm Brazilian sunset tones, green and orange elements celebrating nature, and personal motifs, including a bird silhouette symbolising freedom and a north-pointing arrow representing Ocon’s family roots.

A Rare Race-Used Collector’s Piece

Race-used helmets from the current F1 season are already exceptionally rare — and one-off editions even more so. Ocon’s decision to auction this unique, fan-created piece offers collectors an extraordinary opportunity to own an unmistakable part of the 2025 racing season.

But more importantly, Ocon is using the popularity of his design competition to raise funds for a cause close to his heart.

All Proceeds Supporting Laureus Sport for Good

The auction proceeds will go entirely to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which supports more than 300 programmes across 40+ countries, each using sport to help children and young people from underserved communities.

Ocon shared:
“Sport has the power to change the lives of young people — it certainly changed mine. I’m happy to team up with F1 Authentics to raise funds for Laureus Sport for Good… a cause that is very dear to me.”

Sean Fitzpatrick, Chairman of Laureus Sport for Good, expressed gratitude:
“Esteban’s passion for making a difference is clear to see. Funds raised from this incredible helmet will directly support Laureus programmes in Brazil and around the world.”
