Kia India Introduces Industry-First Plant Remote OTA, Delivering Smarter, Ready-to-Drive Vehicles from Day One

Automaker pioneers innovation in connected mobility by pre-installing latest software updates before delivery

New Delhi, November 10, 2025:
In a landmark move for India’s automotive industry, Kia India has announced the launch of an industry-first Plant Remote Over-The-Air (OTA) feature. This breakthrough technology ensures that all Kia vehicles equipped with the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (CCNC) platform receive the latest software updates remotely at the manufacturing plant, allowing customers to experience a fully upgraded, connected, and ready-to-drive vehicle from the moment they take delivery.

Redefining the Connected Mobility Experience

The Plant Remote OTA system reflects Kia’s vision of intelligent, connected mobility aimed at enhancing the overall ownership journey. By ensuring that every connected Kia vehicle leaves the factory with the latest software pre-installed, the company eliminates the need for manual updates or dealership visits.

Customers will now enjoy instant access to the complete suite of connected services and features from day one, marking a new era in convenience, efficiency, and satisfaction.

Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said:
“The introduction of the Plant Remote OTA feature exemplifies Kia’s dedication to driving innovation that truly enhances the customer journey. By ensuring every vehicle leaves the plant with the latest software, we are redefining the ownership experience to be more seamless, intelligent, and future-ready. This milestone reinforces our vision of connected mobility and embodies Kia’s commitment to inspiring movement through meaningful innovation.”

Advancing Technology and Sustainability

Leveraging Controller OTA functionality compliant with Connected Car System 2.0 (CCS 2.0), the Plant Remote OTA further strengthens Kia’s leadership in technology-driven mobility solutions. This innovation bridges the gap between production and delivery, ensuring timely feature enhancements and security updates while minimizing environmental impact through reduced manual interventions.

The Plant OTA feature will be rolled out across all future connected Kia models, setting a new benchmark for digital-first, customer-centric automotive solutions in India.
