Bengaluru racer clean sweeps Senior Max; young talents impress across categories at Meco Kartopia

Bengaluru, November 8: Local favourite Ishaan Madesh of Peregrine Racing delivered a flawless performance to clean-sweep the Senior Max category at the fifth round of the MECO-FMSCI National Karting Championship 2025 (Rotax Max Classes), presented by SIDVIN Energy Engineering and powered by MRF Tyres, held at the Meco Kartopia circuit in Bengaluru on Saturday.

The 17-year-old Bengaluru racer was in imperious form all weekend, topping every session — Official Practice, Qualifying, Heat, Pre-Finals, and Finals — to strengthen his grip on the championship heading into next weekend’s grand finale. “It wasn’t easy, especially the Finals. They were catching up with me, and I had to keep pushing,” Ishaan said after fending off Aarav Dewan of Leapfrog Racing and Krish Gupta of Rayo Racing, who finished second and third respectively.


Kiaan Shah Wins Intense Junior Max Battle

In the Junior Max category, Mumbai’s Kiaan Shah (Rayo Racing) held his nerve to claim a well-fought victory. Starting from P2, Kiaan showed composure amid intense early jostling before pulling clear to secure the win. Eshanth Vengatesan (MSPORT, Chennai) and Arafath Sheikh (Crest Motorsports, Pune) completed the podium after a thrilling 16-lap final.


Rehan Khan Rasheed Prevails in Mini Max After Dramatic Turnaround

Chennai’s Rehan Khan Rasheed (Momentum Motorsports) enjoyed a stellar run in Mini Max, taking both the Pre-Final and Final wins. Title leader Rivaan Dev Preetham (MSPORT) suffered a setback after a collision in the Pre-Finals forced him to start P8, but he recovered strongly to finish second, ahead of Faridabad’s Yatharth Gaur (Leapfrog Racing), who recorded the fastest lap of the race.


Shiv Neel Impresses in Micro Max, Arshi Gupta Makes Mark

In the Micro Max category, Coimbatore’s Shiv Neel (MSPORT) — son of India’s first Formula 1 driver Narain Karthikeyan — produced a brilliant drive to clinch victory. Starting from P3, Shiv showed sharp racecraft to take the lead and hold off Faridabad’s Arshi Gupta (Leapfrog Racing), the lone female racer on the grid, who finished a fine second. Local driver Shiv Tummala (Peregrine Racing), the championship leader, completed the podium.
