Samsung Expands Galaxy AI Language Support with Filipino and Gujarati

October 30, 2025 – Seoul, South Korea: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the addition of two new languages — Filipino and Gujarati — to Galaxy AI, as part of its ongoing mission to make artificial intelligence more inclusive and accessible worldwide. The rollout began on October 29, expanding Galaxy AI’s total language support to 22 languages.

This milestone reflects Samsung’s commitment to breaking down language barriers and delivering meaningful, localized mobile AI experiences to users across diverse regions.

Enhancing Everyday Communication with Galaxy AI

With this update, millions of new users can now access Galaxy AI’s intelligent tools designed to simplify communication, boost productivity, and enhance daily life.

Key features include:

  • Live Translate: Real-time, two-way voice and text translations that make international calls effortless and natural.
  • Interpreter: Instant translation of in-person conversations through a split-screen view — ideal for travel or everyday interactions.
  • Chat Assist: AI-powered message optimization that refines tone and intent, whether users need to sound professional, friendly, or casual.
  • Note Assist: Smart summaries and pre-formatted templates to keep users organized, from meeting notes to project outlines.
  • Transcript Assist: Transcribes, summarizes, and translates voice recordings from lectures, meetings, or brainstorming sessions.
  • Browsing Assist: Summarizes news articles and web pages into quick, digestible highlights.

Built with Local Insight and AI Expertise

The new Gujarati and Filipino language packs were developed through close collaboration with Samsung Research centers in India and Indonesia. This ensures that Galaxy AI’s capabilities are deeply attuned to local languages, dialects, and communication nuances.

Rapid Global Adoption of Galaxy AI

Galaxy AI has seen remarkable adoption since its debut with the Galaxy S24 series. According to Samsung, over 70% of Galaxy S25 users worldwide actively use Galaxy AI and Google Gemini features, with 91% of Indian usersengaging with AI-driven functionalities regularly.

Having reached 200 million devices in 2024, Samsung is on track to bring Galaxy AI to over 400 million devices by the end of 2025, further cementing its position as a leader in mobile AI innovation.

Availability

The newly supported Filipino and Gujarati Galaxy AI language packs are now available for download via the Settings app starting October 29, 2025.
