Raul Fernandez Claims First MotoGP Victory at Phillip Island, Gives Trackhouse a Historic Win

Phillip Island, Australia – October 19, 2025:
MotoGP fans witnessed history at the Australian Grand Prix as Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team)delivered a flawless performance to secure his maiden MotoGP victory, marking Trackhouse’s first-ever win in the premier class. The Spaniard’s dominant ride made him the fifth different winner in as many races, and ensured that every team on the 2025 grid has now tasted Grand Prix victory.

Fernandez Shines in Phillip Island Masterclass

Starting from the front, Fernandez maintained composure under pressure from early leader Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) and rookie sensation Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing). When Bezzecchi served a costly double Long Lap penalty, Fernandez capitalized, taking control by Lap 6 and never looking back.

By mid-race distance, the #25 had built a commanding three-second lead, resisting late charges from Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Bezzecchi to cross the line 1.4 seconds clear.

Bezzecchi Battles Back for the Podium

Despite two long-lap penalties, Bezzecchi’s determination was on full display as he recovered from P10 to finish third, just 2.4 seconds behind Fernandez. His strong finish moves him into third in the World Championship standings, aided by Francesco Bagnaia’s (Ducati Lenovo Team) unfortunate crash on Lap 6.

Meanwhile, Di Giannantonio impressed once again with a late charge from P10 on the grid to finish second, securing another strong result for VR46 Racing.
