Honeywell Unveils New AI Innovations and CT70 Mobile Computer to Boost Frontline Workforce Productivity

Bengaluru, October 17, 2025:
Honeywell (Nasdaq: HON) has announced two major AI-driven innovations designed to transform productivity and efficiency for frontline workers across retail, logistics, transportation, and warehousing sectors. The company introduced new capabilities for its AI assistant—built specifically for mobile computing platforms—and unveiled the Honeywell CT70, a next-generation handheld mobile computer.

Both innovations underscore Honeywell’s commitment to enhancing human performance through AI, automation, and data-driven mobility.

“Honeywell’s latest solutions have been developed with workers at the center,” said David Barker, President of Honeywell Productivity Solutions and Services. “The convergence of our next-generation mobile computers with machine vision and agentic AI delivers productivity and effectiveness for our customers and their employees across retail, transportation, warehousing, and other complex industries.”

AI Assistant: A Smarter Digital Partner for Frontline Workers

Honeywell’s upgraded AI assistant has been designed to serve as an intelligent digital companion for the modern workforce, with new features that enhance operational accuracy, speed, and efficiency.

Key capabilities include:

  • Inventory Search: Helps workers instantly locate items in stock or suggest suitable alternatives, improving response times and customer satisfaction.
  • Product Identification: Uses natural language and camera input to recognize products, parts, or faults—reducing human error and speeding up service.

In a real-world application, baggage handlers in air travel can use the AI assistant to photograph luggage via their handheld devices. Using machine vision, the system records attributes such as color and shape to help identify missing baggage faster—minimizing lost luggage incidents and traveler wait times.

Honeywell CT70: Next-Gen Mobile Computer with 5G and AI Power

The newly launched Honeywell CT70 mobile computer is purpose-built for real-time data access in demanding work environments. Rugged, secure, and reliable, the device empowers frontline workers with advanced capabilities such as fast barcode scanningcontactless payments, and instant access to inventory and workflow data.

Powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor, the CT70 integrates 5GWi-Fi 7, and an AI processor, with RAIN RFID technology expected in early 2026. These features enable faster data transfer, improved connectivity, and more accurate inventory visibility for enterprises.

“Honeywell’s latest mobile computing solution powered by the Dragonwing Q-6690, the world’s first enterprise mobile processor with fully integrated RFID capability, will further accelerate productivity for the industries we serve,” said Wassim Chourbaji, SVP and President of Qualcomm MEA, and SVP of Government Affairs EMEA, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.

Built on Honeywell’s Mobility Edge™ platform, the CT70 supports integration with Honeywell Operational Intelligence, providing real-time workflow insights, and SwiftDecoder™, an SDK that simplifies image capture and barcode decoding for custom software applications.
