‘More than Machine’ Returns This November with All Three WRC Manufacturers in Season 2
October 2025: Following a critically acclaimed debut, More than Machine — the official behind-the-scenes documentary series of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) — is set to return this November, featuring Toyota, Hyundai, and M-Sport Ford in its highly anticipated second season.
Produced by Superlative and supported by SafetyCulture, More than Machine: Season 2 expands beyond its original single-team focus to capture the full drama, rivalry, and human stories across all three Rally1 manufacturers. The series will premiere on the WRC’s official YouTube channel on 23 November 2025, with new episodes releasing weekly until 4 January 2026.
From Team Struggles to Human Triumphs
After focusing exclusively on M-Sport Ford’s 2024 campaign in its debut season — a series that earned widespread fan praise and multiple industry award nominations — the second season triples the intensity and emotion with seven all-new episodes.
This time, the cameras follow Adrien Fourmaux’s transition to Hyundai, Takamoto Katsuta’s heartbreak at Safari Rally Kenya, and Mārtiņš Sesks’ journey of managing expectations after his breakout 2024 season. The series also explores the unsung pressures of WRC co-drivers and the behind-the-scenes challenges faced by team principals across the world’s toughest rallies.
Unprecedented Access and Global Reach
“After the success of Season 1, I’m pleased to share that we have expanded Season 2 to feature Toyota, Hyundai, and Ford,” said Luke Anear, Executive Chairman of SafetyCulture.
“We have been given never-before-seen access to the tension between teams, the rivalry, and the personal pressure team bosses feel every day. I’m proud of what the team has created — this series takes WRC storytelling to a new level.”
Philipp Maenner, WRC Promoter’s Senior Director of Media Rights and OTT Platforms, added:
“Our goal with More than Machine is to reach as many people as possible, providing an authentic look into the WRC world — from raw competition to human emotion. The timing of the series perfectly bridges the 2025 and 2026 seasons, feeding the appetite of rally fans worldwide.”
Global Distribution and Streaming Access
Beyond YouTube, More than Machine will be available through WRC’s official broadcast partners worldwide, extending its reach to millions of rally enthusiasts. The expansion reflects WRC’s growing commitment to delivering premium digital storytelling and engaging new audiences through cinematic, character-driven motorsport content.
Gary Osborne, Founder and Executive Producer at Superlative, concluded:
“Taking More than Machine from following just M-Sport to now covering the entire championship has been an incredible creative and logistical journey. The result is something truly special for rally fans everywhere.”
