Rahil Pillarisetty and Jagathishree Kumaresan Dominate Round 4 of MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2025
Chennai, October 5: Hyderabad’s Rahil Pillarisetty and local ace Jagathishree Kumaresan produced stellar performances to grab double victories apiece as the curtain came down on Round 4 of the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2025 at the Madras International Circuit (MIC) on Sunday.
Adding to the list of double winners was another Hyderabad rider, Rajender Beedani (MAI Racing), who ruled the Stock 165cc (Novice) class. Meanwhile, Soorya PM (Chandra LGE Racing) clinched top honours in the Pro-Stock 200cc Open race, and Varun Patil (Mad Rabbit Racing) from Bengaluru celebrated victory in the Stock 301–400cc (Novice) category after front-runners crashed on the final lap. Raj Kumar (Motul Sparks Racing) from Coimbatore also took his second win of the season in the Super Stock Intermediate 165cc category.
Rahil Pillarisetty Takes Commanding Double
For 27-year-old Rahil Pillarisetty, it was a weekend to remember. Representing RACR Castrol Power1, he outpaced arch-rival and Pune teenager Sarthak Chavan (Petronas TVS Racing) to score twin victories and strengthen his championship lead.
Their battle peaked in the opening lap, with both riders swapping the lead six times before Rahil pulled clear, eventually finishing three seconds ahead. The Hyderabad star now leads Chavan by 21 points in the provisional standings heading into the final round.
“Sarthak and I overtook each other six times on the first lap. I gradually built the gap and managed to win both races. It’s been a tough but rewarding weekend,” said an elated Rahil.
Jagathishree Extends Championship Lead Despite Crash
In the Girls (Stock 165cc) category, defending champion Jagathishree Kumaresan (One Racing) overcame a dramatic crash on the final lap to retain victory. Following a Turn-2 incident that also took down Ann Jennifer (Motul Sparks Racing), the race was red-flagged, and results were declared based on the previous lap — confirming Jagathishree’s second win of the weekend.
Former champion Lani Zena Fernandez (RACR Castrol Power1) completed the podium. The 21-year-old Jagathishree now holds a 28-point lead in the provisional championship standings.
Varun Patil and Beedani Shine in Novice Categories
Varun Patil, a 36-year-old civil lawyer from Bengaluru racing for Mad Rabbit Racing, took advantage of a last-lap crash between leaders Jagadeesh Nagaraj and Mohamed Mikhail to secure his third win of the season in the Stock 301–400cc (Novice) race.
Meanwhile, Rajender Beedani (MAI Racing) completed a clean sweep in the Stock 165cc (Novice) class, narrowly defeating Lal Nunsanga (Motul Sparks Racing) by just 0.075 seconds.
Petronas TVS One-Make Championship: Balaji Inherits Expert Win
The Expert (Apache RR 310) race saw local favourite Abdul Basim initially cross the line first, but he was later disqualified for an infringement. This handed the win to G Balaji (Chennai), followed by Md Samrul Zubair (Hyderabad) and Kaushik Subbiah Ganesan (Chennai).
In the Rookie (Apache RTR 200) class, Hari Haran (Coimbatore) scored his sixth win in eight starts, tightening his grip on the title with just one round to go.
Chavan and Dhar Dominate in Electric and Talent Cup Classes
In the Electric RTE category, Sarthak Chavan from Pune extended his unbeaten streak to four wins, moving within a single point of the championship title.
Meanwhile, Raivat Dhar (Jammu) claimed his third consecutive win in the Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup (Honda CB 300F), edging past Solomon R (Chennai) by a mere 0.115 seconds. Dhar now trails Solomon by just 16 points in the standings.
