Hero MotoCorp Witnesses Record Festive Demand as GST Cut Fuels Two-Wheeler Sales Surge
New Delhi, September 26, 2025: The Indian automobile market is witnessing a sharp acceleration in growth with the onset of the festive season, as Navratri 2025 begins on a highly optimistic note. This year, the much-anticipated GST reduction on two-wheelers has eased the cost burden for first-time buyers, particularly in the price-sensitive 100cc and 125cc commuter motorcycle segment. Early signs point to a massive surge in consumer sentiment, with Hero MotoCorp reporting an “unprecedented” wave of customer interest and record-breaking sales across India.
The company stated that customer enquiries for Hero two-wheelers have grown exponentially compared to last year, driven by the GST 2.0 price benefits. Showroom activity has jumped by more than 50% year-on-year, with footfalls nearly doubling on the very first day of Navratri. According to Hero MotoCorp, a significant portion of this demand comes from on-the-spot purchases, reflecting strong buyer confidence.
Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer, India Business Unit – Hero MotoCorp, said:
“The most striking reflection of this festive season is the sharp increase in on-the-spot purchases. On the very first day of Navratri, the number of customers walking into our showrooms and buying a Hero MotoCorp two-wheeler more than doubled compared to last year. The sales that were earlier deferred in anticipation of GST 2.0 have now picked up strongly. Our newly launched festive range of 12 segment-leading models is driving this surge in demand across scooters and motorcycles. Digital traction has also been remarkable, with online searches for our products jumping nearly three times.”
In line with the festive cheer, Hero MotoCorp has also rolled out its biggest-ever loyalty and rewards program – the Hero GoodLife Festive Campaign. Under the campaign tagline, “Aya Tyohaar, Hero pe Sawaar”, every new customer is a guaranteed winner, with benefits ranging from 100% cashback on vehicles to gold coins and other festive rewards.
With recent launches such as the Destini 110, Xoom 160, Glamor X 125, and HF Deluxe Pro, Hero MotoCorp has further strengthened its product portfolio to cater to diverse mobility needs. To ensure uninterrupted supply amid soaring festive demand, the company has ramped up production and is prepared to meet customer expectations for popular models and new color variants throughout the season.
As the festive momentum builds, industry experts believe that Hero MotoCorp’s record-breaking Navratri performance could set the tone for one of the strongest two-wheeler sales seasons in recent years, reinforcing India’s growing appetite for affordable and stylish mobility solutions.
