Zypp Electric Deploys 500 EVs Worth ₹2.5 Crore Under FOCO Franchise Model, Unlocks New Investment Opportunity in Green Mobility
New Delhi, September 23, 2025 – Zypp Electric, India’s leading tech-enabled EV rental platform, announced the successful deployment of 500 electric scooters worth ~₹2.5 crore under its Franchise Owned Company Operated (FOCO) model since July 2025. The milestone marks a major step in Zypp’s mission to accelerate India’s transition towards sustainable urban mobility while offering investors a lucrative and secure opportunity in the fast-growing EV ecosystem.
The FOCO model allows individuals, HNIs, family offices, and institutional investors to participate directly in India’s EV revolution by owning Zypp-approved scooters that are leased to top enterprise clients such as Zomato, Zepto, Swiggy, Blinkit, BBNow, Rapido, Amazon, and more.
Strong ROI With Assured Monthly Payouts
With investments starting at ₹4.5 lakh for 10 scooters, investors can scale up to 100+ scooters and earn an assured ROI of 59%–100% over 36 months. Zypp ensures monthly payouts, while handling complete operations including insurance, rider allocation, IoT tracking, and scooter maintenance. Each scooter remains registered in the investor’s name, offering asset-backed security with fully passive returns.
Driving Green Mobility at Scale
Commenting on the initiative, Akash Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO of Zypp Electric, said:
“Zypp has deployed over 20,000 EVs to date, but we are now targeting 200,000 EVs in the next three years – a 10x growth. With the FOCO franchise model, we are enabling investors to earn assured returns while becoming active contributors to India’s Green EV revolution. Every scooter replaces a petrol two-wheeler, reducing carbon emissions and bringing us closer to our vision of building zero-emission cities.”
Expansion Across India
Zypp Electric plans to expand its footprint beyond Delhi-NCR into Jaipur, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Surat, Chennai, Kolkata, and more, strengthening its position as India’s largest EV rental platform.
Backed by Global & Domestic Investors
The company has raised over ₹400 crore from marquee investors, including ENEOS (Japan), Gogoro (Taiwan), IAN Fund, Venture Catalysts, and leading family offices. With over 2 lakh gig workers already empowered through Zypp’s EV ecosystem – many earning ₹30,000–₹35,000 per month, with some crossing ₹1 lakh – Zypp is cementing its role as both a green mobility pioneer and an enabler of livelihood generation.
