Mumbai, 18th September 2025 — Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, has announced that the All-New Tata Altroz has secured a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP (B–NCAP), reaffirming its leadership in the premium hatchback segment. With an exceptional score of 29.65/32 in adult occupant protection and 44.9/49 in child occupant protection, the Altroz is now officially India’s safest hatchback.

Notably, the Altroz was also the first hatchback to achieve a 5-star Global NCAP rating in 2020. With this latest recognition, it becomes the first car in its segment and body style to achieve a 5-star B–NCAP rating across all fuel options — petrol, diesel, and CNG. It is also India’s only CNG-powered car to secure the highest safety rating, setting a new industry benchmark.
