Ather Energy Crosses 500 Experience Centres in India, Targets 700 by FY26
New Delhi, 18th September 2025 — Ather Energy Limited, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has achieved a major milestone by crossing 500 Experience Centres (ECs) across the country. The expansion reflects Ather’s rapid growth, particularly in Middle and North India, where demand for its electric scooters — especially the Rizta, Ather’s first family scooter — has surged.
In the last three months alone (June–August 2025), Ather added 101 new Experience Centres, with over half of them in Middle and North India. New centres have opened in cities such as Agra, Jabalpur, Mandsaur, Sundargarh, Vadodara, and Bilaspur, while South India, Ather’s strongest base, continues to see steady growth. The company has also expanded deeper into tier 2 and tier 3 cities including Calicut, Indore, Nashik, Guntur, Haldwani, Satara, Kota, Kangra, and Aizwal, making its EVs more accessible to a wider consumer base.
“Crossing 500 Experience Centres marks an important step in our growth journey, as we continue to expand our presence in line with rising demand across markets. While South India continues to be our strongest base, the success of Rizta has helped us fast-track expansion in Middle and North India,” said Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy. He added that Ather is targeting 700 Experience Centres by the end of FY26.
Ather’s aggressive retail expansion is backed by rising demand and market share. The company’s national EV market share grew to 14.3% in Q1 FY26, nearly doubling from 7.6% a year earlier. In Middle India, its share grew 2.6x YoY to 10.7%, while South India remains Ather’s stronghold with a dominant 22.8% share.
Currently, Ather’s portfolio includes the 450 series for performance enthusiasts and the Rizta for family riders. With two manufacturing plants in Hosur and a third upcoming in Maharashtra, Ather is set to ramp up production capacity to 1.42 million EVs annually — fueling India’s transition to sustainable mobility.
