Neumann Expands KH Series with Five New DSP-Powered Subwoofers for Stereo, Surround, and Immersive Audio

Berlin, September 16, 2025 – German pro audio specialist Neumann has announced the launch of five new DSP-powered subwoofers in its acclaimed KH series: the KH 805 II, KH 810 II, KH 870 II, and their Audio-over-IP (AoIP) counterparts KH 810 II AES67 and KH 870 II AES67. Engineered for high precision, power, and flexibility, the new lineup is designed to meet the needs of stereo, surround, and immersive audio production workflows.

“With immersive audio becoming the new standard across music, post-production, and broadcast, reliable monitoring is more important than ever,” said Yasmine Riechers, CEO of Neumann. “Our new KH subwoofers offer scalable solutions for every studio size and format – from stereo to surround and immersive – while integrating seamlessly with both analogue and DSP-equipped KH monitors.”

More Power, More Flexibility

  • KH 805 II: Builds on the success of the KH 750 DSP, offering nearly double the output for greater headroom and low-end authority, ideal for pairing with KH 120 II, KH 150, or KH 310 monitors.
  • KH 810 II: Adds multichannel bass management for systems up to 7.1.4, supporting up to eleven studio monitors and optimized for immersive audio production.
  • KH 870 II: Doubles the output of the KH 810 II while maintaining identical multichannel capabilities, making it a perfect match for large rooms and KH 420 monitors.

Future-Ready with AES67 Integration

The KH 810 II AES67 and KH 870 II AES67 offer seamless integration with modern broadcast and networked audio setups. With 12 AES67 input channels, compliance with ST 2110, ST 2022-7 redundancy, RAVENNA®, NMOS, and DANTE®-generated streams, these models are built for future-proof AoIP workflows.

DSP Power with MA 1 Integration

All models feature Neumann’s advanced DSP engine, supporting seamless calibration via MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment (sold separately). With low-frequency extension down to 16 Hz, users gain clarity and accuracy for critical mixing, mastering, and post-production tasks.

A Complete Subwoofer Family

From the compact KH 750 DSP to the powerhouse KH 870 II, Neumann now offers a comprehensive DSP-controlled subwoofer portfolio for all monitoring needs – from stereo setups to immersive audio in music production, scoring, mixing, mastering, and broadcast environments.

“Our new subwoofers offer significant advancements with dramatically reduced distortion and port noise,” said Stephan Mauer, Head of Product at Neumann. “They integrate with both analog and DSP-controlled KH monitors, making them the perfect solution for upgrading existing systems or expanding into immersive monitoring. With precise MA 1 alignment, low-end guesswork becomes a thing of the past.”
