Tata Motors Crosses 25,000 Public Charging Stations, Expands EV Infrastructure with 13 New Partnerships
New Delhi, September 15, 2025 – Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has achieved a major milestone in its electric mobility journey by installing over 25,000 public charging stations across more than 150 cities, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. This expansion strengthens India’s EV ecosystem for small commercial vehicles (SCVs), boosting range confidence, operational efficiency, and profitability for last-mile delivery operators.
Tata Motors to Add 25,000 More EV Chargers in 12 Months
To accelerate EV adoption, Tata Motors has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 13 leading Charging Point Operators (CPOs). Together, they will install and operate an additional 25,000 public chargerswithin the next year.
The CPOs partnering with Tata Motors include: A Plus Charge, Ampvolts, chargeMOD, Charge Zone, Electric Fuel, Envo The Sustainer, EV Spot Charge, Kazam, Nikol EV, Sonik Mobility, Thunderplus Solutions, Volttic, and Zeon Electric.
All current and future charger locations will be integrated with Fleet Edge, Tata Motors’ connected vehicle platform, offering real-time charger availability and navigation support to customers.
Supporting India’s Growing e-Cargo Market
Highlighting this achievement, Mr. Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head – SCVPU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said:

He added that strategic collaborations with CPOs ensure a robust support network, enabling transporters and entrepreneurs to transition profitably towards zero-emission logistics.
Tata Motors’ Expanding e-SCV Portfolio
Tata Motors currently offers three e-cargo vehicles:
- Ace Pro EV
- Ace EV
- Ace EV 1000
Each model is available with multiple payload and deck configurations, engineered for reliability, efficiency, and flexibility across diverse cargo needs. All vehicles undergo rigorous testing on challenging terrains and operating conditions, ensuring dependability for India’s transport ecosystem.
Robust EV Support Network
To complement its charging infrastructure, Tata Motors has established 200+ dedicated EV support centres across India. These centres provide technical assistance, service, and maintenance support, ensuring high uptime and faster turnaround for e-cargo fleets.
