New Delhi, September 9, 2025: In a major boost for India’s automobile sector, leading manufacturers including Royal Enfield, Yamaha, Mahindra & Mahindra, Kia India, and Škoda Auto India have announced that they will pass on the full benefits of the recent GST rate reduction to customers. The move follows the 56th GST Council meeting held on September 3, 2025, which introduced the landmark GST 2.0 reforms aimed at making two-wheelers and passenger vehicles more affordable.

Royal Enfield: More Accessible 350cc Motorcycles

Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment, confirmed that it will extend the complete GST benefit across its motorcycles, service, apparel and accessories range. The brand’s iconic 350cc range—a backbone of the mid-size segment—will see significant price drops, making the Royal Enfield dream more accessible to motorcycling enthusiasts.

B Govindarajan, MD of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, said:

“The latest GST reform will not only make motorcycles under 350cc more accessible but will also excite first-time buyers. By passing the full benefit to consumers, we are opening the world of Royal Enfield to an even larger community of riders.”

The revised prices will be effective from September 22, 2025.

Yamaha: Up to ₹17,581 GST Benefit on Models

India Yamaha Motor announced it will extend the entire GST benefit across its two-wheeler range. Price reductions, effective September 22, 2025, include:

  • R15: ₹17,581 benefit
  • MT15: ₹14,964 benefit
  • FZ-S Fi Hybrid: ₹12,031 benefit
  • FZ-X Hybrid: ₹12,430 benefit
  • Aerox 155 Version S: ₹12,753 benefit
  • RayZR: ₹7,759 benefit
  • Fascino: ₹8,509 benefit

Chairman Itaru Otani said the GST cut is a timely move that will “provide a strong boost to two-wheeler demand during the festive season.”

Mahindra: SUVs to Get Price Cuts Up to ₹1.56 Lakh

Mahindra & Mahindra announced that starting September 6, 2025, it will pass on GST benefits to customers across its ICE SUV portfolio. Key reductions include:

  • Bolero/Neo: Up to ₹1.27 lakh
  • XUV3XO Diesel: Up to ₹1.56 lakh
  • Thar 2WD: Up to ₹1.35 lakh
  • XUV700: Up to ₹1.43 lakh

The price revisions are expected to stimulate SUV demand across urban and rural markets.

Kia India: Carnival Sees Biggest Cut of ₹4.48 Lakh

Kia India has confirmed that effective September 22, 2025, its entire ICE portfolio will reflect reduced pricing. Benefits include:

  • Sonet: Up to ₹1.64 lakh
  • Syros: Up to ₹1.86 lakh
  • Seltos: Up to ₹75,372
  • Carens: Up to ₹48,513
  • Carens Clavis: Up to ₹78,674
  • Carnival: Up to ₹4.48 lakh

Kia MD & CEO Gwanggu Lee said the move would “energize consumer sentiment and drive demand during the festive season.”

Škoda Auto India: GST Benefits Plus Limited-Period Offers

Škoda Auto India also announced it will extend the full GST benefit across its entire product portfolio, effective September 22, 2025. Additionally, the company is offering limited-period discounts till September 21, enabling customers to enjoy the benefits immediately on models such as the Kushaq, Slavia, and Kodiaq.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said:

“The revised and simplified GST structure is a welcome step by the Government of India that works in favour of both the industry and our customers. It improves accessibility in the volume segment while adding clarity in the premium space, ensuring greater value for buyers.”

Post-GST reductions from September 22, 2025 include:

  • Kodiaq: Up to ₹3.28 lakh
  • Kylaq: Up to ₹1.19 lakh
  • Kushaq: Up to ₹65,828
  • Slavia: Up to ₹63,207

Until September 21, Škoda is also extending attractive offer prices:

  • Kodiaq: GST-equivalent benefit up to ₹3.3 lakh
  • Kushaq: Up to ₹66,000
  • Slavia: Up to ₹63,000

These offers are complemented by additional benefits, making Škoda models more attractive ahead of the festive season.

Festive Season Boost for Auto Industry

With GST 2.0 reforms lowering ownership costs across two-wheelers and SUVs, industry experts expect a sharp demand surge in September and October 2025, coinciding with India’s festive season. The move is seen as a win-win for customers and the automotive sector, making mobility more affordable and boosting economic growth.
