Sarthak Chavan Clinches Thrilling Victory in Pro-Stock 301-400cc at Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2025

Chennai, September 7, 2025 – Pune teenager Sarthak Chavan (Petronas TVS Racing) produced a brilliant last-lap move to secure a sensational victory in the Pro-Stock 301-400cc Open category, bringing the curtain down on the third round of the MRF MMSC fmsci Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2025 at the Madras International Circuit on Sunday.

The 17-year-old, fitted with a fresh set of tyres, displayed supreme race craft as he snatched the win from championship leader Rahil Pillarisetty (RACR Castrol Power1), with veteran Rajini Krishnan completing the podium. The victory was Sarthak’s third of the season, putting him just nine points adrift of Rahil in the championship standings.

“This win feels special. After dropping to fourth early on, I pushed hard to recover and made the decisive move on Rahil at Turn 4 on the last lap,” said Sarthak, who is also placed second in the TVS Asia Championship after six consecutive podiums in the Asia Road Racing Championship.

  • Super Stock 165cc Intermediate: Hyderabad’s Md Samrul Zubair (Motul Sparks Racing) claimed his second win in four races, narrowly edging teammate Raj Kumar.
  • Girls (Stock 165cc): Chennai’s Jagathishree Kumaresan (One Racing) completed a double, defeating former champion Ann Jennifer (Motul Sparks Racing) in a nail-biting finish.
  • Stock 301-400cc Novice: Thiruvallur’s Mohamed Mikail (Mad Rabbit Racing) secured his second win of the weekend to strengthen his championship charge.
  • Pro-Stock 200cc Open: Bengaluru rider Savion Sabu (Mad Rabbit Racing) bounced back strongly from qualifying issues to dominate and win.
  • Stock 165cc Novice: Tirupati’s CS Kedarnadh (Motul KTM Gusto Racing) held off stiff competition in a photo-finish to notch his second victory of the season.

Petronas TVS One-Make Championship

  • Expert (Apache RR 310): Local hero G Balaji fought off championship leader Mohan Babu P for his second win of the season.
  • Rookie (Apache RTR 200)Hari Haran (Coimbatore) consolidated his championship lead with his fourth win in six races.
  • Electric RTESarthak Chavan continued his unbeaten streak, claiming his third successive victory, with Bengaluru’s Chiranth Vishwanath again settling for P2.

Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup (CB 300F)

Raivat Dhar (Jammu) pulled off an impressive win – his second of the season – in the Honda CB 300F category, keeping title hopes alive. Solomon R (Chennai) finished second to retain his championship lead, while Tejash BA (Tumakuru) secured P3.
