EKA Mobility Delivers Electric Buses to AIIMS New Delhi Under Power Grid CSR Initiative
New Delhi, August 2025 – EKA Mobility, a leading electric vehicle and technology company, has successfully completed the delivery of three 9-metre electric buses to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The deployment marks a significant step in promoting sustainable and inclusive public transportation within one of India’s premier healthcare institutions.
The project was funded under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Power Grid Corporation of India, with procurement facilitated through a tender on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. EKA Mobility secured the order via a reverse auction process, reinforcing the company’s commitment to providing cost-effective, sustainable mobility solutions for India’s institutions.
Accessibility and Passenger Comfort
The newly delivered buses feature a 23+1 seating configuration with pushback seats designed for enhanced passenger comfort. To ensure inclusivity, each bus is equipped with a wheelchair space and a hydraulic lift, enabling seamless access for differently-abled passengers. This aligns with the government’s vision of making public transportation more accessible, equitable, and sustainable.
