Renault India Launches New Kiger With Turbocharged Power, Bold Design and 35 Enhancements

New Delhi, August 25, 2025 – Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the French automaker Renault Group, today unveiled the New Kiger, the next evolution of its popular compact SUV, developed under the brand’s “Rethink Performance” philosophy.

The updated sub-4 metre SUV brings over 35 enhancements including a refined 100 PS turbocharged petrol engine, bold new design elements, enhanced safety features, and smarter in-cabin technology – all while retaining its class-leading efficiency and spacious cabin layout.

Pricing and Variants

The New Renault Kiger is offered in two powertrain options:

  • Turbocharged petrol (100 PS, up to 160 Nm torque): Prices start at ₹9.99 lakh (Techno) and go up to ₹11.29 lakh (Emotion CVT).
  • Naturally aspirated petrol (72 PS, up to 96 Nm torque): Entry price of ₹6.29 lakh (Authentic) with top trims priced at ₹9.14 lakh (Emotion).

Both engines are E20 fuel-ready and come with versatile transmission choices including 5-speed manualEasy-R AMT, and advanced X-Tronic CVT with D-Step technology for a smooth, rubber-band-free drive experience.

Bold Design With SUV DNA

Sporting Renault’s new brand identity, the New Kiger gets a redesigned grille, sculpted hood, refreshed bumpers, LED headlamps and tail lamps, and new alloy wheels.
A vibrant new Oasis Yellow shade with mica treatment debuts alongside Shadow Grey, joining five existing colours. A distinctive TURBO badge, functional roof rails (50 kg load), and SUV-inspired skid graphics further enhance its rugged stance.

Tech & Comfort Upgrades

The cabin now offers ventilated leatherette front seats, dual-tone dashboard, enhanced cooling efficiency, and improved cabin insulation. The 20.32 cm floating touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with 3D ARKAMYS® surround sound.
New features include:

  • Multi-view camera system for 360-degree visibility.
  • Automatic headlamps & rain-sensing wipers.
  • Rear AC vents, cooled glove box, multiple USB ports, and “Belongings Take Away” alert.

Safety First

Safety has been elevated with 21 standard features across all variants, including:

  • 6 airbags (front, side & curtain).
  • Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA).
  • 3-point seat belts for all seats, ISOFIX child seat mounts.
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System & pedestrian protection.

Built on the CMFA+ platform, the New Kiger ensures robust crash safety while maintaining best-in-class rear knee room, 405L boot space, and 29L of in-cabin storage.

A Compact SUV for Every Drive

With three drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport), improved Mirror Bore Coating technology for better efficiency and durability, and best-in-segment ground clearance (205 mm), the New Kiger is engineered for both city commutes and highway adventures.
