FIA European Rally Championship Heads to Czech Republic for Barum Czech Rally Zlín Challenge

The FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) returns to the Czech Republic from 15 – 17 August 2025 for round six of the season, with the iconic Barum Czech Rally Zlín promising an asphalt challenge like no other. Since 1984, the rally has tested the limits of drivers and machines with its high-speed forest sections, narrow village roads, broken surfaces, and unpredictable weather.

This year, 47 crews will take on the demanding 13-stage, 207.49 km timed route — 65% new compared to 2024 — offering fresh challenges across bumpy tarmac and sharp corner cuts. Local favourite Jan Kopecký, an 11-time event winner, headlines the field alongside former ERC champion Erik Cais, podium contender Filip Mareš, and last year’s breakthrough winner Domink Stříteský, who calls Zlín his home rally.

Championship leader Miko Marczyk (Michelin) will face off against Pirelli rival Andrea Mabellini, while notable names like Jon Armstrong, 2024 Junior ERC champion Mille Johansson, Simone Tempestini, Simon Wagner, Chris Ingram, Miklós Csomós, Adam Březík, and ERC3 title holder Filip Kohn will all be in contention.

The rally could also decide two major ERC titles — Tymek Abramowski is poised to clinch the ERC Fiesta Rally3 Trophy and its Fiesta Rally2 prize drive, while Calle Carlberg needs only a top-10 finish to secure the Junior ERC crown and a Junior WRC drive in 2026.

Fans can watch every stage live on Rally.TV and check local broadcasters for coverage in their region. With its mix of technical corners, surface changes, and ever-changing weather, the 2025 Barum Czech Rally Zlín promises another weekend of high-speed drama in the heart of Europe.
