Ather Energy Crosses 400 Fast Charging Points in Tamil Nadu, Strengthens EV Infrastructure
Ather Energy has achieved a major milestone by surpassing 400 Ather Grid fast charging points in Tamil Nadu, reinforcing its commitment to eliminating range anxiety and accelerating electric vehicle (EV) adoption. The milestone is part of a broader network of 430+ fast charging points across the state, spanning 38 cities and connecting crucial intercity routes.
The charging network strategically covers key travel corridors including Coimbatore–Bengaluru, Madurai–Kanyakumari, Coimbatore–Palani, Trichy–Chennai, and Chennai–Pondicherry, ensuring seamless connectivity for EV riders. In total, Tamil Nadu now hosts over 480 fast charging points, including those based on the LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) standard, developed by Ather for industry-wide use.
With 44 Experience Centres and 42 Service Centres across 35 cities, Ather offers a robust sales and after-sales support network in Tamil Nadu. Its chargers are integrated with Google Maps, allowing riders to easily locate and navigate to the nearest point.
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said:
“Tamil Nadu has been one of our earliest markets and ever since we entered the state in 2019, we have been investing in building a reliable charging network. Crossing 400 fast chargers in Tamil Nadu reflects our commitment to making EV ownership truly seamless.”
To expand further, Ather has partnered with Coffee Day Global Limited, Zeon Electric, Ganga Sweets, and Aswins Sweets to deploy chargers at high-footfall locations. Since pioneering India’s first two-wheeler fast charging network in 2018, Ather has established 3300+ Ather Grid points nationwide, offering a charging speed of 15 km range in just 10 minutes for compatible EVs.
This expansion reinforces Tamil Nadu’s position as a key hub for EV adoption, providing riders with reliable, accessible, and rapid charging options for both urban commuting and long-distance travel.
